Sophie started at the spot where Grady had once stood. She couldn't believe how calm Grady was with her and Fitz. First, she never told him. He found out on his own by looking at their rooms. Second, there's the fact that he's letting Fitz sleep with her. That was a new one. However, she wouldn't make any changes to her sleeping arrangements all because of Fitz. Third he isn't glaring at Fitz whenever he's holding Sophie. He wasn't telling Fitz that his arms were to low or to high. He was actually letting them go. And now saying that he really meant that she was safe around him. Just wow. She was having trouble wrapping her head around it. Just then a hand waved in front of her face and she came too. "What?" "Soph. You've been staring at the same spot for five minutes. Are you ok" Fitz asked, eyes clouding with concern. Sophie nodded her head. "Yeah. I-im fine" she stuttered. Fitz didn't look convinced but let it go. He did, however, throw Sophie a look that said we will revisit this later. She sighed. "Lets get back to our little party." She climbed back on the couch and grabbed her speaker. She stood up, turned on the music, fairly loud, and started to dance. She instantly forgot about what had just happened and her smile was perfect. It wasn't forced. It was flawless and Fitz was swooning. It was midnight by the time the playlist had stopped. They turned everything off and went upstairs. Then Sophie's memories came flooding back. She stopped dead on the stairs, causing Keefe to run into her. Keefe caught her before she fell, thank god. She would have face planted into the stairs if he hadn't because she wasn't paying attention. Fitz walked up to her and picked her up bridal style and she didn't even blush. She wore her expression that she does when she's thinking. She bit her lip a bit and twirled her hair. "Oh no. What is she thinking about" Biana said. "I have no clue. She won't talk to me" Fitz replied, looking at his girlfriend cradled in his arms. He carried her up to their room and Biana opened the door. Once Fitz was inside, she closed it and walked away. Fitz carried Sophie over to the bed and laid her down. He turned to walk away when he heard Sophie move.

"Fitz?" He turned around and saw Sophie propped up on her elbows, looking at him. "Yes?" Fitz walked over and sat on the bed next to her and she rolled over onto her back so she could look at him. "Do you think Grady is being unusually calm about me and you. Or is it just me because he is never calm when I say something about a boy." Fitz thought for a moment before answering. "I think he is. I thought he would give me a long talk when I asked you out. Man that took forever." Sophie looked a little confused. "What took you so long?" Fitz smiled at her and took her hand. "Asking you out. Biana kept pushing me to do it because she said I won't be disappointed. My guess is because you told her that you liked me. She just never told me why I wouldn't be disappointed. Now I know what she meant." Sophie giggled. She walked over to the closet and put on her pajamas. She came back out and Fitz walked in and put on a pair of shorts. He walked back out and Sophie giggled and looked down t the bed. He didn't have a shirt on and his eight pack was perfectly toned. He smiled and climbed back in the bed. He tipped her head up to him and she was lost instantly in his eyes. "Hey. You told me that you would tell me why Dex doesn't like me.And what about that note?" Sophie groaned playfully and smiled. "You said you would tell" Fitz pushed. "Ok. Dex doesn't like you because you always get the girls-" Fitz snorted. "It's true. You should see all of the looks you get at school. Girls everywhere swoon whenever you talk to them. Boys look at you with both envy and dislike. They want to be you. Make girls instantly fall in love with them when they walk into the room. They don't like that you can do everything. Before me and Dex found out that we would be cousins, he had a crush on me. So to see me do what every other girl was doing around you, it didn't exactly please him. He still hasn't exactly gotten over the fact that your a wonderboy and he isn't. He is still amazing and we love him for it, but he isn't you, and he feels like an outcast." Fitz nodded. "Why do all of the girls like me?" Sophie giggled. "Because your insanely good looking. And your built. And you can do everything." Fitz smiled at her description. "Why do you like me?" Sophie thought for a moment. "Sophie?" She looked at him. "Why do you like me?" Sophie smiled. "I have to think about the big ones. I mean, I payed a little more attention to you than Keefe because your hot and Keefe, not as much as you. Oh I got the main ones. Your funny and kind. I mean, you could be this obnoxious person because you can do absolutely anything and you aren't. You don't make up lies about yourself because you think your not all that, even if you are. You respect others, even when they don't respect you. You've stayed by my side no matter how many reasons I give you to leave. Those are the main things." Fitz laughed. "And the others?" Sophie sighed. "You don't think you do enough to say your sorry for something no matter how many times I tell you I forgive you. And I trusted you from like the moment I laid eyes on you. I've never felt that before. You trust me. And what everybody else first notices about you. Your muscles, and how cute you are." Fitz playfully put his hand over his chest in mock hurt. "I'm not cute. I'm dashing." Sophie laughed. "That you are. That you are." She cuddled up next to him and closed her eyes. "And what about the message this morning" Fitz asked. "I want to thank you for that date. You don't know how long I've been waiting for that. It was like haveing my prince charming pick me up and carry me out of my tower. Only my boyfriend looks like he could be a prince." Fitz chuckled, his chest vibrating with it. "I don't think I would be able to have the same bond with someone else as I do with you. I mean I could have always turned to Keefe if you didn't like me, but then he and Marella wouldn't be together now if I did, and I don't think it would have lasted anyways." Fitz nodded. "Oh and by the way, if your still trying to make it up to me from when you were mad because you thought you would loose your dad, Stop trying. You've already given me your present. You are all I need." Fitz laughed. "Don't ever leave me again Sophie." Sophie smiled. "Never. I will always be here." They sat there holding each other for awhile until Sophie broke the silence. "Why do you like me?" Fitz looked startled. "Oh. Because your independent and strong. You, could be the most arrogant person because you saved the world but your not. You don't see yourself they way I see you, signifying that your not arrogant, though I do wish you would see yourself a little clearer. I mean, when you said that all the girls fall for me, and the boys envy and dislike me, the boys fall for you and the girls envy and dislike you. Your like drop dead gorgeous and that would have made me pay a little bit of attention to you if we weren't friends. You don't judge people just because they don't at first meet the eye. You don't discriminate multiple births, or bad matches. You care about all." He played with her hair. Sophie melted against his touch. She couldn't take it anymore. Her arms found their way up to his neck and she gently pulled him towards her. He leaned towards her and his arms snaked down to her waist. Their lips met and it felt like lightning shot through them. Sophie had her hands in his hair, messing it up. They broke the kiss for air and leaned back in. They were at it for several minutes before they broke it, breathless. Sophie giggled at his hair. "What" he asked. "Your hair is all messed up." His hands darted to the top his head and she grabbed them. "Don't. Its cute." Fitz smiled and reached for the remote. He turned the tv on and they watched tv. Fitz held Sophie, playing with her hair. She fell asleep soon after.
