My head shot up to face her. "You were talking to her while she was driving? What was she screaming about?" Janyce seems shocked at my abrupt outburst. "How do-"

"The police officers were able to catch her from a camera outside some shop," I say as I look at Freddie.

"She was upset with herself for everything basically. She was overly stressed by everything that was happening, Kaz. She's pregnant at age 22 and her 'supposed' older brother is cutting her out of his life. That's not how she planned her life out. After that trip to Las Vegas, she was meant to go to college but she ran off to Sydney. She wanted to be a Pediatrician - a Children's doctor because of her love for kids. That's why she didn't take an abortion. She wants this child some much. I even remember her talking Anthea and me. She even said that if you didn't want the baby...s-s-she would run off to Canada and start a new chapter of her life there,"

I sit back and let my mind take over me. I processed and let the information I got from Janyce slowly eat me.

Landon's right. I've ruined her life.

Her plan of life was perfect.............

Until I showed up.

----------------------------------------------------

Hours went by as I sat in the hospital chair emotionless and numb. Both couples came and left. At this point, I didn't even care if the baby was alive or not. I was just worried about Dee. I hadn't got a word from the doctor yet and it was bugging me. My foot was once again impatiently tapping on the ground and my arms crossing on my chest.

I feel a light tap on my shoulder which brought me back into reality. I look up at the chair next to me, only to see a kid - maybe around the age of 4 or 5. She had brown curly hair and bright green eyes. She had freckles which ran across her nose. She was adorable but my insides were to numb to realize it at that time.

"Cuse me sir? Can u welp me get my paper pl- pl. Dang, it! I caw't say the word," she frowns at herself and shakes her head. Her brown locks bounced as she sat down next to me and crossed her arms. Something about this little girl brought light to my emotionless day.

I lean down towards her and look at her. "Do you want to point out what you want me to get?" I say softly. She nods and slowly as she looks at my tattoos. She gets off the chair and tucks on my jeans as she leads me to a vending machine. She points up at it and my eyes catch a paper plane stuck on top of the machine.

She jumps and her hand tries to reach the plane on top. I chuckle at her helpless actions and watch her frown and cross her arms. "It not funny,"

I pick her small figure and help her reach the paper plane. She leans towards the machine and grabs the plane without a problem. She cheers and her eyes light up more. I realized she had two different colored eyes. One was brown and the other was hazel. She suddenly throws her small arms around me and gives me a light squeeze. "Tank you for welping me, sir,"

I felt a little bit of tension lift off my shoulders when she pulled away from my hug. I put her down and she smiles widely. "I wope that whoever you are here for, gets better. I'll pay for you," she says as she puts her hands together. I kneel down to her height and smile at her. She couldn't say her words probably which was so cute. "I hope that whoever you are here for, gets better too little one, I'll pray for you too,"

I'm gonna be honest. I haven't prayed in a long time.

"Ok byw, sir, my mummy is probably looking for me," she says as she walks in the opposite direction of me. I watch her until she has disappeared for my sight. I turn around only to be facing a doctor with no emotion on his face.
