CHAPTER 51

Kaz's P.O.V

I rub my face as I wake up to my phone ringing Loudly right next to my ears. I frustratedly grab it. Who the fuck would call at - 4 in the morning? 

I answer the call and groan. 

K - hello? Do you know what time i-

Unk - Hello? Yes, is this Kaz Black?

K - Speaking, what is the problem.

I look beside me and frown. The bed was empty. Where's Dee? 

Unk - I'm calling from St Jean's Hospital and to inform you that Dee Gomez has been in a serious car accident at 3:45 this morning. 

My heart stopped. 

K - Thank you for informing me, what hospital was it? 

Unk - St Jean's 

I end the call immediately after the women had responded. 

The only thing that roamed my mind as I drove to the hospital was if Dee was ok. My heart is beating so loudly that I could hear it. How did this happen? As I drive I pass a familiar car which was crashed into a light pole. I instantly knew it was Dee's car. Instead of stopping, I increase my speed of the car to 180km. The amount of blood I saw around the driver's side made me worry even more. 

I run into the hospital like a madman. People stared at me like I was special in some way. I go up to the lady behind the counter. "Dee Gomez?" 

"Sorry, sir. She's going through an operation right now. Right after the procedure, we will inform what level and room she has been placed in," she politely responds. 

I could explode right now. I sit down and wait as I tap my foot impatiently and rub my sweaty palms against my thighs. I breathe in and text Freddie and Jay to bring the girls here. I don't bother texting Landon cause why should I? 

I here a ting from my phone minutes later, already knowing that it was one of the boys. I breathing becomes hallow and my mind created a world of its own. 

Dee......Dee....Dee....Dee......Dee

She was all I could think about right now. 

Someone clears there throat and I look up with no emotions. Two officers were standing in front of me with looks of sympathy and slight fear. Both men, with similar features. It took me a second to realize they were twins.

"Mr. Black, we're here to inform you that Dee's car has been sent to a repair shop about 10 minutes from the crash site," I nod my head and look back down at my feet. 

The two officers gave each other a look and turned around to walk away but I stopped them. "How did she crash?" 

They both turn back around. "Ah we looked at cameras near the crash site. She seemed to be talking - rather screaming at something. She wasn't looking at the road and an incoming truck came into sight, making her serve off the road. She was going a good 160km/ph down the Highway, sir,"

I frown and nod again sitting back in my seat and watch the officers walk away. As they walk I see I teary red-eyed Janyce and Freddie appear in site. Freddie brings his phone up to his ear but I call out to them before he could call my phone. Freddie takes Janyce by the waist and walks to me. 

"How is she?"Janyce sniffs as she crosses her arms in distress. "I-i- I don't know," I sigh defensively. I put my face into my hands and slowly breathe. I wanted to scream so hard right now. This had to be something the included me. It somehow was my fault. It's always my fault if Dee's hurt. Janyce sits next to me and places her hand on my shoulder. "It's not your fault Kaz, she was upset about last night. I should have told her to stop the car before talking to me any further,"
