CHAPTER 30

Anthea's P.O.V 

I look in the shopping bags, ticking off if we have everything. "Chips?" 

"Check" 

"Dips?" 

"Check" 

"Sausages?" 

"Check" 

"Bread Roll?" 

"Check" 

"Pasta Salad?" 

"Oh shit, nope." Janyce clenches her jaw as she circles the words on the shopping list. 

"Janyce! I told you to get that." Dee whines as she opens the car door. 

"I'm sorry, I got caught up talking to Freddie," she says blushing. 

Dee rolls her eyes. "Those are boys are going be the death of us one day." She leans on the car. 

"Yeah, that's honestly true." I chuckle. 

"Oh well. We have to drop the food at Kaz's, then go back home, get ready and finally pick up Landon and Layla on the way," Dee lists, organising herself a little note in her mind. 

"Ok, mum," I roll my eyes and sit in the driver's seat. I've never been the one to organise my day. I just what comes for me.

"Shotgun!" Janyce says loudly. 

Dee groans and sits on the back. "I hate you, so you know that?" 

Janyce looks back from. her seat. "Yes, my baby. I love you too." 

Pulling up to Kaz's house was a shock. All three of us gasped out loud.

The house was beautiful. The contrast between the black, grey and cream exterior had put our house to shame. It was a huge home for someone who lives by themself. 

"Damn guys. That's my boyfriend's house. Be jealous." Dee says as she takes the plastic bags out from the back. 

"Jay's house is nice too," I mumble, still sitting in the driver's seat, staring at the house.

I horned the car horn so it gets the guys attention. The door swings open and we see Freddie walk out with a concerned look on his face. His head was tilted down as he walked over to the car.  

His probably sensitive to the sunlight because he doesn't face us until he comes in contact with shade. 

Dee and Janyce handle the shopping, giving him all the plastic bags, confusing him.  "Aren't you guys coming in?" 

"Not now. We have to go get changed and pick Landon and his girlfriend." I say getting back in the car.  

Janyce hugs onto Freddie tightly, only to let go and stand behind him. "Maybe I should stay and help," 

Dee smirks, knowing that's not the reason she wants to stay. "Then we shall bring your change and swimmers!"

We pull up to Landon's and I beep the horn, hoping that was loud enough to catch his attention. 

I watch as he leads himself out the front door with girl walking out behind him and locking the house door. 

"Hey, girls!" Landon gives us both huge hugs at the same time. 

Dee and I look at the girl standing behind Landon and give her an encouraging smile and small waves, still in the embrace of Landon. Landon finally lets go and steps aside, exposing his girlfriend to us even more. "This is my girlfriend-"
