The date is May 21st. It was exactly 3:30pm when Annabeth had her first contraction. As you can imagine, I was freaking out. We Iris Messaged Piper who was in LA with Jason and she said they would drive right over to Camp Jupiter and take the portal over.

As of right now, we are just sitting in the Poseidon cabin, Piper timing contractions and Jason trying to calm me down. Leo and Calypso were doing something and Hazel and Frank were still at camp.

I have no idea where Nico and Will are. To be honest, they are the last thing in my mind right now. I've got a wife and a baby to worry about.

It's 9:15pm now. "Should we go to the Big House?" I asked concerned.

Piper looked up. "Her contractions are about thirty minutes apart still. We shouldn't need to go until they are about ten minutes apart. I have a feeling this will be a long labor."

Annabeth groaned. "Hera's still after me?"

Piper laughed at my confused expression. "She's the goddess of childbirth, dummy."

I stood up, "Well, I'm gonna...I'm gonna...gonna punch her godly face in."

Annabeth sighed. "Not worth it Perce." Jason grabbed my shoulder and pulled me back down. "So I guess we wait," he said.

Time skip...

Jason and Piper stayed with us all night. We told them to leave, but they insisted. Annabeth told me to sleep and then I told her to sleep and we argued for awhile before we both decided to sleep.

I didn't sleep very well because I was anticipating the next day, or whenever I was woken up I guess. Piper told me Annabeth had a very restless sleep.

It's around noon and still no baby. We had moved Annabeth to the Big House this morning when her contractions became closer together and now I was being told to go get food.

I sat down at the Poseidon table and Leo and Calypso switched tables to come sit with me. Jason joined as well. Piper was still in the Big House with Annabeth. Jason was going to bring her food.

"So?" Leo asked with his mouth full of food. "No baby yet," I answered.

"Soon though?" Calypso asked. Jason nodded. Piper ran from the Big House. "Her water broke finally. She's officially going into labor. We need you there Percy. Everyone else's welcome to wait in the living room."

I jumped up and sprinted, the others behind me. When I got in the room, Will and some other Apollo campers were prepping her for birth.

"Okay Annabeth, one more push," Will encouraged. Annabeth screamed again and then I heard it. A baby crying. It was the most beautiful sound I have ever heard. I cut the cord and Will brought the baby to a nurse who was standing at the ready with a towel.

After they cleaned him off, they brought him over for Annabeth to hold. She took him gladly in her arms. I ran my hand lightly across his head. Black hair. Just like me.

Will smiled and left the room. "What should we name him?" I asked quietly. She looked deep into my eyes and then studied our baby boy intently. After awhile she decided. "Luke..."

She looked at me for confirmation and I thought about it before nodding my approval. "It's perfect."

"How about his middle name?" She asked me. "Charles," I decided. She smiled and kissed the baby's forehead. "Luke Charles Jackson. I love it."

There was a knock on the door and my mom came in. I beckoned her over and she gasped and started to cry. Annabeth let me hold him and I made absolute sure that I was being as gentle as humanly possible.

Will came back in and had me write the birth certificate while mom held Luke. Annabeth was fed Ambrosia and rested while I was given permission to go parade around the living room with the baby.

Luke was all swaddled up in his little blue blanket and his little blue hat. He was sleeping soundly now after Annabeth fed him. He had opened his eyes briefly and we saw that they were an adorable shade of sea green with little specks of grey.

As soon as I walked out of that room and into the living area, gasps filled the air. Piper squealed and ran over, cooing at the baby in my arms.

"Can I hold him?" She asked. I nodded and carefully handed her the bundle. "Aww," she cooed, "what's his name?" At this point everyone in the room(the seven plus Nico) was huddled around.

"Luke Charles Jackson," I stated proudly. Nico looked at me knowingly and smiled, a sight that wasn't as rare as it once had been. Leo also seemed to recognized the name.

Hazel asked the question everyone was thinking. "Who's he named after?" She asked. It was a simple question, but being demigods I guess she knew that he would be named after someone we used to know.

"Luke Castellan, he guy who gave his life to save Olympus," Nico looked like he was going to protest, but kept quiet, "and Charles Beckendorf, son of Hephaestus. He died on a mission to sabotage an enemy ship. I was there," I explained. Hazel nodded and took Luke from Piper, holding the newborn in her arms.

Luke woke up and started fussing, but Hazel bounced around a little and whispered comforting things and he calmed down, looking around curiously. "His eyes!" Piper gasped, commenting on his green eyes with the grey specks.

Leo cleared his throat. "Ahem, Uncle Leo would like to hold the child please and thank you."

Hazel looked at me for permission. I nodded and she handed the baby to Leo who smiled widely and was surprisingly gentle.

After everyone had their turn of holding the baby, I took him back to Annabeth, who took the baby and then fell back asleep. I fell asleep beside her on the chair beside the bed, unaware of what the Hades I was getting myself into.
