CHAPTER 30

  Next day again Christine went alone with Daniel because Ella got some pending work to complete which according to her was very important, Christine tried to stay with her, even offered help but Ella denied it and insisted her to go with Daniel and have some fun, at last Christine has to give up because Ella was not ready to take NO as an answer.
During their way to Daniel apartment, he stops the car to get Christine and himself a coffee from a coffee shop while Christine was waiting for him in his car, she was got scared by the sudden knock on the side of the car window, but soon she became normal once she saw who he was, he was the same old man whom she saw that day, when she went with Daniel, he looks frightened and nervous, he signaled her to roll down the window, at first she heisted but finally decided to roll it down, as she rolls down the window, that man suddenly bent forward matching the level of car window which made Christine pull herself back as on the seat, then he moves his head left and right as if making sure no one was near then he looks back at her and spoke in a shaking voice " time is near, be prepared" at which Christine gave him a confused look but ignoring her he continued " seek for God,  thousand year have been expired, Satan has been loosed out of his prison, he needs............" before he could complete his word he was pushed harshly away from the window by someone, Christine remove her seat belt in rush and open the door only to see a very angry face of Daniel and the old man laying on the ground, Daniel move forward and bent down only to held the old man by his color and spoke something in a low by frighting tone, which Christine didn't understood because he used some other language maybe local language or maybe something else she didn't give it much attention because her eyes were captivated on that old man color under his black robe she saw a white cloth or something like that, then it strikes in her mind this old man is a priest.
She rush forward and removed Daniel hands from his color and drag him toward the car, " have you lost your mind, didn't you see his color he is a priest and at the top of that he is more than sixty plus, for what you behave so violently with him, if I would have not stopped you, I think you must have killed him by now"
He didn't reply anything to her, so she just sighed and move back to talk to that priest but as she was about to take a step someone held her hand in a tight grip and when she turns back to see who he was, she was shocked to see Daniel holding her hand, with an expressionless face, before she could open her mouth, he opened the car door for her to get inside, which she denied at which he looked in her eyes  with soft and pleading look and spoke " please, it was for your own good, I will explain you everything during the ride" she didn't argue with himself, just yanked her hand from his grip and got inside, once she got inside he also took the driving seat and start the car, on their way to his apartment no one spoke anything but finally Christine breaks the silence "speak", Daniel looked over her, then took a deep breath " I know that man" and then again looked over for her reaction but she only signal him to continue " He was kicked out of the church for practicing evil, he tricks innocent people, moves their faith with lies and then ask them to follow him, well you can say that he is a devil worshiper, and when I saw him taking to you, I knew what he was up to, I know the way I reacted was wrong but don't know why I sensed danger around you and I just lost my control, I'm really sorry" Christine look in his eyes to find lie but she only got concerned look and fear in his eyes, so she just nodded her head in understanding and spoke " it's okay, but next time please try to handle matter in a better way" to which Daniel smile and answered " I will", after that everything was normal the ride to the apartment was comfortable.
Today for the first time Daniel spoke something about his personal while seating in his studying room and discussing random stuff and him showing his work and place he visited during his research, out of blue he spoke " My parents were a preacher" then paused as if lost in his past life, seeing him lost in his own word Christine spoke " so where are they now?" only to look pain in his eyes with was soon turned into anger and then back to normal " they died in an accident" he spoke with no feeling, Christine placed her hand above his and squeezed it a little telling him it's okay, if he doesn't want to talk about it, he just gave her a smile and excused himself to bring some snake to eat, so she let his hand go. While he was gone out of the room she scrolls down his laptop just viewing his picture of different places with priest, local people, church and then by mistake while scrolling she clicked on video, before she could turn the video off, her curiosity increased by hearing sound of something different and weired thing so she let it play at first she didn't know what's going on because the video was shot in dark place only the source of light was candle and the language being played was unknown to her but after few minute the camera focused on someone, she was an old lady tied to bed, and few people were standing beside murmuring prayers, and then she saw the lady who was tied to bed her hands and legs were bleeding as if she was nailed like Christ, but who could do such cruel thing this old women, this is insane, these thought were going on her mind, then she notices something that women was repeating something again and again although Christine didn't know the language but she was sure that the woman was speaking same sentence again and again what ever it was, after viewing that video continuously for three minute she saw the camera focused on a computer screen which was drawing sound wave images and something being written on that which read as " when the thousand year expire dark angle will ascend on earth" she was repeating this line again and again like a broke tape in between the video something she also screams out of pain and then Christine jumped off the chair when she felt someone hand on her shoulder only to see that those hand belong to Daniel, she moves forward and stop the video then place the food he brought in the table, while Christine was standing there placing her hand over her heart "are you okay?" Daniel spoke in a concerned and worried tone, to which she just nodded and got back to her seat, and looked over Daniel with a questing eye which he caught so he spoke "it was part of my work about six months ago I got a call from this place, actually my friend was a local priest of that place and he wanted me to see this thing so, I visited him and witness this event", "So she was possessed by devil" Christine asked he looks at and just nodded, Christine took a deep breath to calm herself and but spoke in an annoyed tone "why would Satan do such things, why he is giving much pain this poor lady, don't he have enough guts to face God himself" and for few seconds she thought she saw something flashed on his eyes but choose to ignore it, but Daniel move is hand finger on the cursor and open another video and played it, in that video Christine saw a Father sitting on a bed praying loudly in painful voice his eyes, hands and were bleeding but he keeps on praying, then he stops the video and looked over her " he believes it's a holy sign, and so the surrounding people" Christine gave him a confused look, not understanding what he was trying to say, but before she could question him, he slammed his hand hard on the desk " the video you saw earlier was the woman possessed by devil, but the video you saw now was believed to be holy gift from God, what's the difference, both of them are suffering, it understandable if Satan is giving this pain but God........................." "Daniel..................." Christine tried to calm him down but he holds his chair in his hand and throw it across the room which frightened Christine and make her step away from him but he moves forward and hold her shoulder with both his hand " flood, drought, crime, innocent people are killed, who is responsible for those things" his eyes were glowing and right he was looking like a beast himself, Christine tried to free herself from his hold, but it only made his grip tight on her, he removed one of his hand and played back the video one after another forcing her to look over it and everything time he switch the video from one to another he would repeat the same question, "who is more cruel? God or Devil" the way he was playing those video and the forcing her mind was not able to analyze anything his questing were playing like a broken record on her brain after few minute her mind only flash her vision of blood, cries, grief, blood here and there all red, she pushed his hand with her whole force and rush toward the bathroom only to throw up, she was not able to breath properly so she just sat on the floor gasping for air and trying to calm herself, soon Daniel rush after her he moves forward to help her but she held out her hand to stop him from moving forward, but he ignored it and sat beside her, with tears running down his eyes and spoke " I'm sorry Christine, I didn't know my action could result this, I didn't any of this, really sorry, please don't hate me" at which Christine looks over his broken feature and only thing came to her mind was " who is he?  Daniel I knew, was not him" and with that she turned her eyes from him and spoke in a low but demanding tone " take me home" ignoring her words he moved forward and bend on the floor, tears running down his eyes and with that he hold Christine comforting her, but she looked in his eyes with expressionless face and spoke "now".
