I nod nervously as I take in everything he said, slightly smiling as I keep the focus of the black and white static movement which the camera was pointing out for us.

"Could I have a couple of shots of the baby?" I ask with all the kindness of my heart.

He placed his thumbs up. "Sure thing, give me a second to snapshot these!" The sound of clicking came next to him as his index finger presses down on a button.

The printer connected to the ultrasound machine begins to cry in exhaust as it prints out yet another ultrasound picture for a curious woman.

As we wait for the pictures to print, Dr Batemen removes the camera from within me and allows me to clean up and change back to my clothes again.

All in all, I was pretty happy with the turn out with the ultrasound and appointment. I felt more confident in taking this step and keeping the baby.

"Here we are." Batemen holds up a large white folder. "The first ultrasound for you, Miss Gomez." He sweetly extends it out for me to grab onto.  "I've already booked up for another check-up in 2 weeks." He explains. "Remember to drink lots of water and eat iron supplements!" He continues, almost lecturing me as he walks me back out to the main reception.

"Thanks, heaps! I'll see you soon,"

"I can't even see the baby, but I still find it so cute!" Janyce says in awe as she stares at the ultrasound picture. I couldn't help but laugh because it was nothing but static of black and white.

"Janyce, point out where the fetus is." Anthea tests her, making me laugher harder. "Go on, point out the baby."

Janyce squints her eyes at the picture, trying to find the pea-sized living creature that is currently floating in my uterus. "It doesn't matter if I can see it or not! It's so cute!" She squeals.

I yawn, tearing up in tiredness. "I think I'm going to go off and sleep."

The girls say their goodnight too me as I handle my first ultrasound pictures in my hand.

I walk up the stairs carefully, starting to realise how badly I needed to work on my cardio, especially since I'll be carrying a baby soon.

My feet stop in front of Kaz and my bedroom, staying still as I stare at the door.

I miss him.

I've noticed that we don't talk as much every day, in fact, I haven't received a call or message from him since yesterday and I don't know whether I should panic or not.

If anything, he was probably becoming extremely busy, and to back myself up, I know this because the girls haven't received anything from Jay or Freddie either. They are probably just working harder to finish up as soon as possible, just so they can come back home to us.

I felt my body relax before I opened the day to the bedroom. It was quiet and cold, as it has been for the past 3 weeks, and I'll be honest when I say it's only making me reminisce about Kaz more often.

I lay against the side he usually sleeps on, making sure to adjust the large hoodie of his which I'm wearing to sleep. The pillow tucked to my side so I had the feeling that someone was sleeping with me and I didn't feel alone.

I felt my eyes began to become heavy as my body positions itself in a comfortable spot.  My hands travel to my stomach and I slightly rub, imitating the heavily pregnant lady from this morning.
