She gives me a worrying look. "I think you should go to the doctors," Her hands make their way up to my forehead so she could feel the temperature of it. "You're burning up, Dee."
I pick up my toothbrush and linger paste on it like Kaz always does for me. "I'm feel fine, okay?"
"I'm not taking no for an answer, Dee. Get changed and come down." She demands and walks out of the bathroom. "I'll wait for you downstairs."
-----------------------------------------------
I sit quietly in the doctor's office with Janyce in the seat next to me, tapping away on her phone.
"I don't understand why I've been forcely brought here." I whisper. "I told you I felt fine."
Janyce rolls her eyes, putting her phone into her bag. "Stop wincing like a baby. It's better too know if you're sick rather then let it get worse and take longer to get over."
The door behind us opens, making both of us look over our shoulders together.
"Alright, Miss Gomez. What seems to be the problem?" The doctor asks as she looks through a palish yellow folder.
I side eye Janyce wrongfully, hating her for putting me into this position. "Uh- I threw up this morning."
Janyce continues for me after I stop. "Doc, she was burning up this morning and I'll be honest when I say that she seemed a little pale last night,"
The doctor nods, reciting all the information in her head as she typed down something on her computer. Her glasses, slightly falling on the tip off her nose as she looks at the screen. "Have you had any trouble breathing or suffering from the coughs and runny nose?"
"No, not really. Just the sudden feeling of nauseous ." I respond nervously.
I awalys hated coming to the doctor's. It was arkward for them to ask these questions about myself. Obviously, it's not their fault that I'm a closed off person and that asking these questions are apart of their job.
Her fingers tap along the keybroad. "What did you eat last night?"
"Pizza." I clear my throat, feeling like a child.
She nods, placing her hands away from the keyboard and giving me her full attention. "Ok and how's your period cycle been lately?"
"Sorry, if you don't mind me asking. What's the date today?" I frown, not remembering what date it was.
I've started to realise that I'm not really keeping a track of the date, which results in me being completely out of touch with reality.
"Yeah, of course," She look at bottom of her screen. "it's the 19th."
I was suppose to get my period three days ago.
"I have a regular cycle, but uh-" I could feel my forehead crease as I lean back into my sit. "I was supposed to get my period a few days ago."
I saw Janyce look up at the doctor as soon as those words left my mouth. The doctor nods, bringing her bony fingers back to the keyboard and typing away again. "Have you had any sort of sexual activity lately?"
Yep, that's the question.
I slightly panic, considering the fact I haven't told the girls that I lost my virginity almost two weeks ago.
I gulp with a heavy lump stick in between my throat. Janyce's head snaps away from the doctor and she looks straight at me. She was breathing down my neck like a mum with a teenage who's about to confess to having sex without her permission.
