When I'm With You (REWRITING)

CHAPTER 33

"Thanks again sweetie. Try not to come late again though!" She chuckles as she packs her things up for the day.  

"Yep, no worries," I say before slipping out of her office. 

I grab my stuff out from my small personalised office and walk out the building. 

I sip on my 3rd cup of coffee and make my way down to my car. I look at the phone and check the time. - 5 : 30 pm. 

I look through my lock screen and notice all the missed calls from Kaz. I mentally cuss, knowing Kaz is probably worried. 

I arrive home. 

I have to get used to saying 'home' knowing I live here now. I close the door quietly and walk to the kitchen. First thing I see is a very worried Kaz walking back and forth. 

"Kaz?" He looks up and basically tackles me into a hug. 

I squeal by the unexpected hug and hug him back. "Do you know what time it is? You said you'll be home at 3. To come back home at 4 and not see you were worrying." he says still hugging me. 

I pat his back and pull away. "Chill, It wasn't like I would be dead," I joke, putting my stuff on the counter. 

"Where were you? You didn't pick up any of my calls, Princess."He waves his phone around my face.  

"Work. I arrived late so I had to stay back to complete my full hours for the day." I sit down on one of the kitchen stools and place my head in my hands 

I yawn loudly and my stomach grumbles. 

Kaz shakes his head, sighing at me. "Why are you working? I have more than enough money to live a lifetime," He leans on the counter in front of me. 

I look up at him and smile. "I like working. It's boring staying at home all day." I pot as I pull out some designs from my folder.

 I stomach does another whale call. I avoid eye contact with Kaz, knowing he's gonna says something. 

"You skipped lunch again, didn't you?" Kaz raises his eyebrow. 

Once again...I spoke too soon.

I don't look at him or answer him.  "Why?" he asks. 

"I wasn't that -" 

"Don't pull that bullshit on me," he points at me with a serious look on his face. 

"I wanted to eat your food," I mumbled nervously. 

Kaz's face lights up. "Princess, you could have just told me. I would have brought you food," He says sitting next to me. 

"Yeah, but you had worked too so," I say clarifying my work. 

"Actually, The boys and are taking a little break, you know laying low so we wouldn't be at work a lot," he explains, watching me focus on my work. 

I breath out lazily and put my head on the counter.  "Can you cook me something? Anything? I'm going to take a quick shower. " I say using all my energy to get up. 

Kaz grabs my hand and pulls me back. "You looked gorgeous today, Princess," 

He pecks my lips and I savour it, missing his touch all day. I hug his chest and just stay there for a while. "I missed you all day, Kazy," 

I listen to his heartbeat and smile, hearing it quicken in speed. "I did too, baby," I felt him kis the top of my hair. 

I pull away and smile. "See you in a few," I say and walk up the stairs.
