"Holy shit! You're fucking joking, right?" I say as my eyes widen in Rayn's direction. He's currently telling me the first time he went out on a mission for the gang. "So you just shot him? Just like that? In the middle of his forehead." I move my hands trying to reenact everything he just told me.
He chuckles "Yeah, pretty much."
"Don't you feel horrible? You know after killing someone?" I frown, questioning him.
"Nope. I guess my dad wasn't the best influence growing up." He shrugs as he sips a glass of water.
"Wait, so if our fathers were best friends....How come we never met?" I ask him.
"Maybe, Peter didn't want Melody and you to get involved within the gang?" He says. "You know your dad never worked as a Lawyer right?" He states the obvious.
I raise my eyebrow. "Yeah, I realized, dude." I look down at the bowl as I finish my ice cream.
"Dude? I call you babe and you call me dude?" His tone changed dramatically.
I frown, not liking the fact his mood changed all of sudden. "Hey, why are you getting pissed for?"
"Dee, you're mine. You better start accepting that," He crosses his arms.
"Rayn, you're crazy." I stand up from the couch and walk to the kitchen. I hear his footsteps follow me. "You should really wake up from that little dream life you want with me. It's never going to happen."
He growls, throwing his bowl in the sink. I'm surprised it didn't crack or break. "Why?!"
"You're so up yourself! I hate people who are up themselves. You kill people you a living!" I place my bowl in the sink gently, siding eyeing Rayn's bowl to see if there were any cracks.
"You loved your dad and he killed so many. What about the fucker Kaz?" He sighs angrily.
"Yeah, well. I'm sorry but no. You have to get over yourself and burn the dream of you and me together. Whether you like it or not." I brush my shoulder against him as I walk away from him.
I begin walking up the stairs, but I was stopped and slammed against a wall, making me gasp.
"Listen, Dee...I was nice to you, we went out together back in Sydney. Hell, I even killed your dad, my dad's best friend, for you. What do you want that will make you like me as much as I like you?" His face was to close to mine, stopping mine from breathing.
I bring my lips to his ear. "Nothing will, Rayn."
He pulls back and punches the wall, next to me, making my flinch. He kept getting angrier by the second. He pulled on his hair furiously. "That's it! I'm so fucking done with you!"
He grabs my hand, tightens his grip making me squeal in pain. He pulls me down to the basement and throws me in closing the door behind him.
The room was dark and cold. The cerement against my feet made me shiver. "I deserve so much respect from you!... And this is how you treat me!?" He angrily grabs the rope from the corner of the room, causing me to back up a bit. "I deserve to get what I want!"
He grabs my hands, while I struggle to leave his grip. "I'm going to get what the fuck I want!" He brings the rope over my wrist, tieing them together.
"Rayn stop!" I try to push him away but he was way too strong. I trash around until I feel a familiar burning feeling across my face.
He slapped me.
I flinched as memories hit me.
I gasp loudly as he roughly grabs my face, forcing me to stare straight into his eyes. "This is exactly what you deserve. Pain. Your dad was right. You deserve nothing." he whispers in my ear. Shivers down my spine as my dad is mentioned. My eyes begin to blur as the words echoed in the back of my mind.
