When I'm With You (REWRITING)

CHAPTER 23

Kaz's P.O.V

I woke up to the smell of the one and only. 

"Dee?" I shoot up from the bed and look beside me. 

I look down at the empty spot next to me, realizing that she still wasn't here. It made me go absolutely nuts. 

I missed her smile, her laugh. I missed her everything, everything but her scent, which made me go crazy. It's weird to say shit like this but I hate that Dee has this type of effect on me. 

It was only 6:30 am, which meant I haven't slept at all. 

"Morning run it is..." I whisper to myself. 

I already had my shorts on so I just placed my shirt on and headed out the door. 

Running was the only mechanism which helped me breathe, without having any worries in my mind.  

Yet, even with the fresh air and unlimited panting, all I could think of was scenarios of what would have happened if the guys stayed home with Janyce and Anthea and if I told Dee to stay inside the cafe. 

I look up to the last place I saw Dee. The Cafe parking lot. 

There was a small number of cars here, but I didn't expect it to be bust, it was only early morning. 

I push the door open and the cafe goes quiet. I press my lips thin as I look away from everyone staring me down like I was so major beast. I walk to the booth Dee and I were sitting in before I left to go to the restroom. 

I felt my phone vibrating. 

F - Dude? Where are you?

M - ...Last place I saw Dee.

F - Oh. Well, get home. We might have some information on how we can find Janyce and Dee

A bit of me got excited. 

Me - I'm on my way....How have you been? 

F - .....I didn't like waking up to having Janyce's scent all over me knowing she's nowhere near me. It's driving me crazy

Me - I know what it feels like. I woke up and I almost lost my shit...That's why I went for a run. 

F - I'll join you next time.

"Ok, so this Venus chick? You said you saw her talking to Dee at the airport? What does this have to do with the situation." I ask Anthea, who was currently making coffee for all of us.

She hands my a mug and I sip it. "You said that the Red Devil's have a specific tattoo...right?" 

I nod as the other guys also invest their attention to her. Anthea turns to Freddie. " Freddie doesn't get mad when I say this." 

Freddie frowns as he tells her to continue. "When the girls and I went out last. Janyce met this guy...I don't know his name or anything but he had the same tattoo as Dee's Dad and Venus had it too. I got confused thinking it was some trend so I left it." She continues. 

In the corner of my eyes, I saw Freddie slightly frown. "Can you describe how this 'club guy' looked?"I knew he was furious inside.

"Tall, brunette, greenish-blue eyes and as again the tattoo on his left forearm."  Anthea looks around on the fall trying to memorise his features. 

Anthea must have noticed the tension rise because she didn't hear a response back from Freddie. "She didn't do anything, Freddie. She's not like that."
