He looked like he was taken back a bit but slowly rolled his sleeveless up to expose the sudden red ink on his forearm. "What is that?" I looking at the weird drawing on his arm.

He frowns at my sudden question. "It's a devi-"

"It's stupid, sweetie. Can you please go up to your room? I need to talk to daddy," She cuts him off.

"Mummy? Can I have pasta for dinner?" I ask her, fiddling my tiny fingers.

"Of course sweetie. I just need to go shopping to buy everything. You want to come with me?" she still had her eyes on my father.

I shake my head. "Thank you, mummy. I love you,"

She smiles and kisses my forehead. "I love you too beautiful," She before walking out and giving my dad a pissed off look.

*****

That was the last time I saw her.

When we got the phone call that my mother was preannounced died, my father was broken and so was I.

Her car blew up when she started her engine, after coming back from the shopping centre. Police never found out who put the bomb under her car.

As much as It felt horrible that I wasn't ever going to see her again, I was happy. I was able to say I love you to her for the last time and didn't even realise it.

My dad turned on himself. He would drink like there was no tomorrow, only eating when completely necessary.

It was at the age of 9 when he first hit me.

From that day on, mt life became a living hell.

I shake the memory out of my head as I feel my phone vibrate in the sand.

 D - Hello?

J- Dee! Where are you?

D - I'm out getting fresh air? I texted to you!

J- You texted us over 4 hours ago!

D - Shit, What time is it?"

J - Like a quarter to one.

D - Oh wow. I lost track of time. I'm on my way home.

J - Oh and the boys are over

D - That's fine.

I end the call and sigh. I haven't had much time with the girls lately. They are usually either at work or with the guys.

I get in my car and drive back home, wishing I had more time on my hands.

I see that the front door open and walk-in confused.

Everyone was sitting down on the couch in silence, looking over at Kaz who held a scrunched up paper in his hands.

My eyes widen and I gasp, realising what it was. The threatening note from last night.

Everyone looks at me, making me feel like I was on the spot.

"Dee? What the fuck is this?" Anthea says snatching the note out of Kaz's handing.

My lips thinen as I look at the note and then back up at her. "A note you guys left for me as a joke last night?" I say trying to avoid the fact that I know it not.

Then Freddie gets up and takes the note from Anthea's hand. "Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, The more you're alone, The more you're known?" He reads out loudly.
