CHAPTER 16

Me - You guys staying over there?

Anthea - Yeah, why? Scared to be in the house alone???

Janyce - Shut up, Anthea. You can't even watch a scary movie without crying

I sigh and put my phone down. 

Maybe I'll let the guys confess themselves out about the whole gang thing. I and clean myself up and go downstairs. 

I see another note on the counter. I frown at myself. I threw out that other note didn't I?

I pick it up and read it.

Roses are Red

Violets are Blue

The more you're alone

The more you're known

My eyes widen. 

"If you guys are playing with around with me, then stop!" I look around my surrounding, listening for one of the girls to respond. 

I didn't hear anyone respond and it panicked me. 

I feel a cold breeze coming in from the living room. I turn and see the back door open. I tried not to freak out. 

Someone was in the house.

Suddenly, going to over to Jay's didn't seem like such a bad idea. 

I close the back door and walk to the front door.

I look back at the creepy note which is now in the kitchen bin. 

I open the door to come face to face with the last person I wanna see - Kaz. "Dee...." he starts off.

I lift my hand up before he could continue. "Save it, I didn't know shit would've gone down like that. I would have tapped you guys on the shoulder to tell you I was taking your order. I'm sorry, for ruin your little gang meeting." I push past him, brushing my shoulder against him

I was pulled back. "Gang meeting? Who told you this?" He has a small frown on his face as if his biggest secret was finally exposed.

"My boss....No sorry ex-boss."

"Wait. You lost your job?" he says. I nod and turn to walk to Jay's door. I was pulled back by my elbow and I yelped in pain. Kaz softens up and looks at my elbow.

"I did that to you, didn't I?" He scans my elbow with a guilty look. I don't say anything and just stand there. "Listen, I came to say so-" I cut Kaz off. 

"Sorry? When people say sorry, some of them don't mean it." I say looking at him. I turn around and walk into the house. I can hear footsteps behind me.

I kind of feel bad now. He was just trying to apologise for what he did wrong. I turn back around and face Kaz. "Listen, Kaz, I overreacted a bit. I haven't been myself lately. Especially today.I'm so-" I was cut off by him. 

"Sorry? Yeah, when people say it, some don't really mean it." He says coldly. He walks past me, leaving me with my jaw on the ground as I just stand there.

I felt my phone vibrate again, probably one of the girls begin me to come over again.

When you're with me, I won't be as cold as Kaz is to you.

I frown and block the number. I'm not gonna let some anon get to me...again. I walk out of the house and get into my car. I need chocolate man.
