"What?!" My eyes widen. "Why the hell would he come back without her?!"

Then we both heard a crash downstairs.

We run down and it's completely quiet, only the light mumbling of the living room television. Janyce was standing there with her eyes glued to the horrors of a murder sense, while Freddie looked at her confused.

"-the 80 years old was found dead earlier this morning in a back alleyway. Police are saying it's done by the hands of Peter Gomez, who is currently listed as the most wanted man in Sydney-"

I ears began to ringing as I stare back at the Tv. The scene switches from the murder sense to a photo of an elderly lady, who's face we both knew too well.

I feel something warm run down my cheek.  "She. Won't. Answer. Phone." I managed to say before breaking down. This is when I should start to panic.

It's either she still next on his hit list or she already crossed off it.

We heard the door open and a series of shuffling feet moving closer into the house.  We all turn around to face the one and only person, who wasn't suppose to be here.

"What the fuck are you doing here!" Janyce scream echos in my ear. Freddie doesn't hesitate to hold her arm before she could attack Kaz.

"I had something urgent come up," He says unbothered and it's on the couch. "Dee's fine! She has her Grandma and the police as protection from her father. Why would I need to get myself into something I wasn't in, in the first place?"

I jaw drops to the floor at his sudden change in behaviour towards Dee. He was fine with going all the way to Sydney, knowing Dee was ok and at her grandmother's place but when she needed him the most, he sat in my living, generating attitude.

I know he was probably on the plane, back here when it happened but I had to break the news to him. "Dee's Grandma is dead!" I bark at him, as I felt Jay pull me back a bit.

Kaz's face drops and his eyes widen, making him shoot up from the couch. "Don't be a bitch and try to make me feel bad. She's not dead. I literally saw her not even 18 hours ago,"

I point at the TV which once again broadcasted the tragic news. Kaz frowns listening to every word the report says. "Fuck. She's dead."

And he had the audacity to call me a bitch.

Dee's P.O.V

He's a fucking disgusting bastard.

Police aren't even fucking helping.

I'm just going die in his corrupt hands

I didn't find out until 2 hours ago. Auntie Anna called me and broke the news, shocking me completely.

My innocent grandmother was dead and it was all my fault.

I had no time for remorse nor to mourn her.

All I could think about was needing to leave Sydney immediately. What the frightening thing about was that I have to go back and get my return ticket...which I idiotically left in my handbag, at the house.

I felt my phone vibrate. A text, meaning another threat from my father.

I groan and rest my hand on the streeling wheel. Why didn't I bring my handbag?

I pull up to the house and look around to see if there was any cars around.  I noticed tree right next to my bedroom window, giving me little hope. Maybe, I might not get brutally murdered by my own father, today.
