UNKNOWN NUMBER

You're going to regret coming to me.

My eyes widen as I gently place my phone back down onto the counter. My hands started to shake as I kept my eyes on the phone screen.

It's him. He's finally found me.

My first instinct was to call the police, but that changed as soon as another texted pop up.

UNKNOWN NUMBER

Call the cops. I fucking dare. You'll just a have more painful death when I see you.

I instantly locked my phone screen, forgetting how to breathe.

He's watching me.

My breathing becomes heavy as my eyes searched for human figures, lingering shadows around me.

I can't stay here.

Without a second to lose, I grab my car keys and wallet from the counter drawer.

I didn't want to play his dangerous games anymore.

It was triggering to be alone at home already, but now...knowing his watching my every move, gave me chills.

I can come back when it's safe. It'll be safe when I know Grandma is back.

I drive off, never looking back once. I was too scared I'd see him pop out of one of the garden bushes.

I'm really starting to regret coming to Sydney now, as selfish as I sound, I 'm worried about my own safety too. My father wouldn't kill his mother in law, right?

I just wish this is a nightmare. I really a long nightmare, that I'll wake up from soon and realise  I'm still in Vegas, cuddling the beach house pillows in bed.

My phone begins to ring and I see the screen flash Anthea's name, meaning she must have realised I switched back to my Australian number.

I look back upon the road, ignoring the ringtone by a milestone.

Anthea's P.O.V

I pace around my room with my phone to my ear. I finally found Dee's Australian number, but it really isn't an use if she doesn't pick up the fucking phone.

"God damnit!" I look down at my phone. "Why isn't she picking up the fucking phone?!"

Having an international Tv program which broadcasts news from all around the world, can either be annoying or life-saving. In this case, it's life-saving.

There was no way I want Dee in Sydney after I hear that her father is currently the most wanted man roaming the streets, out of his jail cell.

"I'm guessing she didn't pick up?" Jay pops his head in from outside my bedroom. from my bedroom door.

I shoot daggers at him. "Well fucking obviously!" I say turning my back on him and try calling her again. If I call her enough times, she'll get annoyed and pick up, or switch her phone off and break it.

"Hey, hey, hey. She'll be ok," I cut him off.

"Isn't Kaz on his way back?" I remember overhearing the boys talking about this morning. Jay nods his head, relieving me. "That's probably why Dee isn't answering. She's probably on her way back with Kaz!" I laugh a little to light my mod

Jay's eyes avert to the floor, making it seem like it was the most interesting thing in the room.

"Without actually," he says scratching his neck.
