When I'm With You (REWRITING)

CHAPTER 8

I rub my eyes and see we're almost the last ones on the plane. "Jesus, it's so empty," I yawn. 

We get off the plane and grab our bags. The guilt at the bottom of my stomach was starting to spend, making my head hurt. 

"Girls, I got to go to the bathroom. I got my ticket and passport so you guys go. I'll catch up with you!" They both nod and continue walking away from me. 

Once they leave my sight, I quickly go walk over to another gate. I look at my ticket and read it. 

Flight from Los Angeles to Sydney AU.

As I pull out my phone, the boarding began. "Flight 941 Los Angeles to Sydney is now boarding!" the announcers speaks. 

I hope they understand why I'm going to Sydney.

Anthea's P.O.V

We go to get our bags. Both of us get a message. It was from our group chat. 

Dee Bee

I'm gonna be late. I got my bags already. I bumped into a relative and they won't stop talking. Go without me. I'll get home by an uber. I'll meet you guys after your dates tonight. Have a great night! I LOVE YOU'SSSS xx

I look over at Janyce and she's already looking at me. I frown. We started walking towards the entrance of the airport. 

"I have a feeling-" I was cut off by Janyce. 

"Dee is fine. You saw her text. She's with someone." She says trying not to cover the fact that she has that feeling too. 

Before we could continue walking, we were tackled with hugs. "There she is!" Jay suddenly picks me up and embraces me into a deeper hug. I wrap my legs around his waist and smile into his neck. 

I hear someone clear their throat. 

"Where's Dee?" It was Kaz. 

"Kaz, came here to see Dee. How cute." Freddie mocks a girly voice, making Kaz roll his eyes.

The boy's told Janyce and me about Kaz. How he's the 'big bad' guy with a sheer, cold attitude.

"Um, Dee? She's coming later on. She said she ran into a relative." Janyce holds her phone out at Kaz, probably showing him the text message 

Kaz frowns and his eyes go from light blue to a dull grey. His lips go thin and he nods, sitting back into the driver's seat. 

I couldn't help but feel bad for him. He really came all this way just to greet Dee.

Kaz's P.O.V

I stay seated in the driver's seat as my best friends help the girls get their bags out of the car and into their house. 

I look at the rings on my fingers as they were on top of the streeling wheel.

It kina of pissed me off. The fact that Dee was just left at the airport, only to catch a uber home. I won't have minded if we waited a little longer for her to come out. We could have sat and eaten something the restaurants nearby, while we wait.   

I sigh in annoyance, pulling my phone out. I scroll through my contacts and press on her name. 

Me

Are you still at the airport? 

If she was still at the airport, then I could just go back and pick her up after dropping Freddie off.
