Mordecai rent his clothes and perceived all was done.  He put on sackcloth with ashes and went out into the city.  There was a loud cry and none could enter the king's gate clothed with sackcloth.

The king's commandment and his decree came,  there was mourning,  weeping,  and wailing.  The maids came and told Esther,  she was grieved.  She was told her and her house would be destroyed.

The king could not sleep and he wanted the book of records and they were read before the king.  It was told that the keepers sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.  The king Ahasuerus gave the house of Haman the Jews enemy unto Esther the queen.

Esther fell down before the king weeping and told him to please out away the mischief of Haman,  and his device that he devised against the Jews.  She stood before the king and said let the letters be reversed.  It was sealed with the king's seal.

Posts rode out with mules and camels.  The Jews had light,  and gladness,  also honor.  They had a feast and a good day.
