Before God created the universe and first humans, he had created already a higher order of Intelligent creatures. They inhabit the same realm as God and are more powerful than humans. A realm invisible and inaccessible to man.
These are the "spirits" and "angels". A huge amount exist. Around God's throne number "myriads of myriads," Or tens of thousands. In the liberal sense angels number into hundreds of millions! They serve as God's spokespersons or messengers. They carry out God's work. We do not know all the things they do. But they do help sincere people to know more about God. They have missions to carry out for God.
