I know, I know.... I've been slacking with the updates and I apologize. This time of the year is usually my busiest with work and as soon as I get home I'm drained.

But here y'all go! I'll try my hardest to update again soon.

“So ya got everything ya needed ta get?”

“Basically, yeah.” She nodded.

“OK cool. So breakfast fa nine.”

“Got it.”

“Ya got ya speech ready?”

“I'm still putting the finishing touches on it.”

“OK. Now ya sure ya want us thea tamorro?”

“Yes I am for the millionth time.” She laughed.

“I'm just tryna make sure.”

“I know and I understand.”

“Aight. Well call if ya need anything.”

“I will. Thanks again for today.”

Hugging Jayda, I left the condo. Tomorrow was her graduation and we were legit excited for her.

Initially Misty was ta take her shopping but she woke up feeling sick so I decided to accompany her with Nai and her brother and sister.

“Dad?”

“Yo?” I glanced at Nai as we drove.

“Are we having a baby shower for momma?”

“Nah sweetpea. She’on want one and ya know how she gets when we do something she’on want.” I laughed.

“True. Well can we at least do something as a family.”

“We can do that. I'a talk ta her OK.”

“Mhmm.”

“Ya ready for ya show on Sunday.”

“I am.” She smiled.

“Good and I'll be right there to see you kill your solo.”

“Thanks. Are we going anywhere this summer?”

“I doubt it. Ya momma is due in July so the way things looking, we're gonna be in Atlanta.”

“Ok.”

“Unless ya wanna go visit ya grandmas.”

“No thank you.”

“Well what you had in mind then?”

“Remember the dance school.”

“The one in Canada?”

“Yea?”

“What about it?”

“Remember momma was saying about me going to do the summer programme.”

“You want to?”

“I wouldn't mind?” She shrugged.

“Aight well I'a talk it over with ya momma but we gonna have to get someone to go with you.”

“Nahnuh can come with me.” She smiled.

Not responding, I kept my focus on the road. We were yet to tell Nai that maw’s cancer was back. We wanted to wait till after her procedure to make sure everything was straight before saying anything. The last thing we needed was Nai being distracted by anything. She was just as emotional as the both of us already.
