RWBY Ruby Rose x Male Reader (Volume 1) Part 8.

(Volume 1) Part 8: An Unknown Burden

You shuffle outside behind Raiden and Professor Ozpin...as you walk further from the Main Hall you look back to see all of Team RWBY watching you and Raiden walking away...You want to wave back to them but you only feel like that will make you feel worse...After a while of walking away. You notice you're now at the edge of Beacon Academy and can see the shinning lights of Vale in the distance. Ozpin stops at the edge and turns back to you and Raiden.

Ozpin:"Why do you want to be a Hunter, Mr.(L)?" You're thrown off a little by that question

You:"I-I...what?"

Ozpin:"The reason you wanted to come here...surely there must be some background as to why you're standing here today." You thought it over for a bit, and look to Raiden. Then suddenly it occurs to you

You:"...Well, when I was 11 my mother died to a rare form of Cancer, uh...when that happened our dad, Ardyn...was never the same, he kept obsessing over something in Vale...a...Relic something like that?" Ozpin looked quite surprised to hear the word you used but you continued "Afterwards we moved to Vale and that's when things took a turn for the worse...he said he was going to go find someone...I don't remember it only that it started with Cin..." Ozpin looks down deep in thought before speaking again

Ozpin:"What happened afterwards...?"

You:"Well...he never came back...and me and Raiden were left alone...for years we were had to live out on the street, and though there were places we could spend the nights since we're kids most of them were full so...me and Raiden just laid in the cold...it was horrible, the amount of nightmares that I had were horrible but...I had Raiden." You smile at Raiden while saying it.

You:"Every night he would tell me of the adventures of Huntsmen and Huntresses...and how they were fighting throughout the world to make it a better place...and something about that just clicked in me, the thought of helping those that were like me had lit a fire in me. Afterwards though it took a bit of time but Raiden was old enough to get a job, we had food, water and soon enough our own little apartment in the city. And because of him I was able to get closer to my goal...I want to be like my brother, helping those who can't help themselves. That's why I want to be a Hunter." You look to Raiden to see that he's tearing up and smiling while looking down

Ozpin thought for a while, you were scared of what he was going to say...but you knew that you couldn't stay here, You know that every team is full...Ozpin then takes out the Leviathan piece that you and Raiden got in the Emerald Forest.

Ozpin:"Do you know what this is?"

You:"Uh...a Leviathan?"

Ozpin:"And do you know what a Leviathan represents in this world?"

You:"Uh...well no, sir."

Ozpin:"It represents an ancient Kingdom...before the 4 kingdoms of Vale were formed. You see though it's just now a fairy tale told at night, the symbol of the Leviathan was the symbol of the Glaive."

You:"Glaive?" You glance at Raiden as he looks as just as confused as you are

Ozpin:"You see, the Glaive was the Royal Family of this ancient Kingdom. Over a century of their rule and each of their Kings had the ability to Conjure any object they acquired, They did this by using their Semblance to ignite the fire of their Soul thus giving them unimaginable power, eventually the power of the Soul was so great that it had to vent out somewhere, in this case their dominant eye."
