The person picked up. My heart jumped as the voice cleared.
"Hello Shawn. Now you answer," a voice snapped. I couldn't tell who, it was a guy.
"It's not Shawn," I pointed out.
"Oh, who are you?" They asked.
"Alyssa?" I said, almost as a question.
"Glad you know yourself," the voice chuckled, noticing the hint of interrogation in my voice.
"And you?" I asked. The voice seems vaguely familiar and I really wanted to know who it was.
"You don't need to know," it snapped.
"Okay," I responded.
"Okay, I give up." The voice was calmed. I knew the voice. It was Cameron- I was sure of it.
"Cameron?" I asked to be sure.
"Sh, yeah." His voice went harsh again.
"What's up?" I was worried. "What is going on?"
"Stop, I'll text you really quick."
The line went dead after that line and I closed the tab and opened Shawn's messages. A text came a few minutes later, from the same number.
Emily kidnapped me.
That was all I got. I responded with:
How?? Where?? I'll be there??
The message said it was read but I didn't get a response. Worried, I woke up Shawn.
"Babe," I jumped lightly in the bed, causing him to wake much u
"What's up?" He sat up and rubbed his eyes. He looked so beautiful when he woke up. His hair messy, his face a little tired still l, his smile slightly droopy. After being stunned by his beauty, I told him what Cam texted me and everything.
"What?" He looked at me.
"I have no idea."
"Okay, I knew this would happen," he mumbled.
"What?" I looked at him. What wasn't he telling me.
"Nothing," he quickly shot down the conversation.
"What aren't you telling me Shawn?" My voice sharper than it had ever been.
"Nothing," he looked at me but looked away.
"Look at me," I told him.
"No," he gulped. "I can't."
"What is going on?" I asked one last time.
"Nothing," he said again.
"Muffin, tell me," I tried to get him to comfort.
"I can't, okay?" His face fallen into a frown causing mine as well.
"Tell me."
"Okay," and he began to tell me what he couldn't tell me.
