Hey guys!!! First off, I'd like to say a Happy New Year to you all; I know this year I'm gonna work harder on my stories so I can bring you guys more chapters, and these past few days, I've been keeping my word, so far. Believe me, a lot of interesting stuff is coming up so I hope you guys stick around.

And man... the new year has already started off so great! I was completely blown away that this story has already 4,000+ Reads on it. Like, What?!?! I would've never thought that this story would go so far; let alone every one of you guys loving this story. I'm still in shock by the number of readers that tune into each and every chapter. And, I wanted to say thank you to all. You guys encourage me to keep on writing even when I'm at my worse, and "The Magic Within" wouldn't be as lively without all of you.

So, for my appreciation, I thought that I would dedicate this chapter to a lovely reader. @SakuraLovesanime Thank you so much for reading and favoriting my story. On New Years Day, it was such a surprise to see my notifications blowing up because you enjoyed the story so much. I was so thrilled and it was such a great way to start the new year right. So, again, thank you so much.

Without further ado, hope you guys enjoy this chapter.

~Regina & Melody Flashback~

Standing beside the glossy black coffin, which was ready to be buried in the ground six feet under, Regina wore the blackest clothes she could find. She wanted something to match how she truly felt on the inside, misery. She didn't care if her heart was as black as the clothes she wore because all of her light and goodness had been taken away from her. The only perpetrator that was responsible for heartache was death itself.

The clouds completely covered the skies and restricted as much light from the sun from hitting Storybrooke. By the looks of it, it could've started raining at any second but it didn't matter to Regina. At least the weather would be feeling the same way as Regina did. It would be grieving for the loss of Regina's heart as it was ripped away from her.

Inside the glossy black coffin, Melody laid inside the claustrophobic casket; the white silk cushions inside comforted the girl while she would stay in her eternal slumber. While preparing for the burial, Regina made sure that Melody was dressed well, even when Melody was the one who was inside the coffin. The girl wore a black laced dress with the flowing fabric stopping just past her knees and the laced sleeves went up to her wrists. The dress hugged Melody's figure and a black ribbon wrapped around her waist with a simple bow tied at her side. The dress covered the girl's chest but left enough skin to show the silver necklace with a heart-shaped ruby hanging at the end. To complete the simple outfit, a pair of plain black heels decorated her feet, and her hair was styled as straight as she naturally had it.

However, even when she would never see the light of day nor be able to appreciate the clothing she had on, Regina wanted her daughter to be dressed in the best attire she could find, which she would be stuck in for all of eternity. She wanted Melody to wear something as exquisite as she was, though still being the simple girl she always was.

But, it's not like Regina could see the outfit with her own eyes and see how well it fitted Melody. The coffin was shut closed for Regina's sake. She would rather not see Melody's expressionless face again, to remind her that her daughter was truly gone. She'd rather remember her as lively as she always was. She wanted to keep her best memories with her daughter, and would not allow any visions of Melody's corpse rotten her mind.
