~Henry's POV~
"We're here Henry," Belle says. She turns from her seat to face me and gave me a kind smile as a way of reassurance. I would be lying to say that I wasn't nervous. In all my life, I've never had a birthday party this big; it's always just been my mom and I, for the most part. In response to Belle's gesture, I return the smile to somehow seem less nervous then turn towards the mansion. Instead of being its traditional isolated self, like I was used to (which to be honest, I preferred it to be), the house was full of life. With music blaring from left to right, lights illuminating through the windows and into in the dark night, and people all-around having a grand time. I was so in trance of the scene in front of me that I jump when I feel a hand on my knee. I turn my head again to see the hand belong to Belle.
"Are you ready, Henry?" Mr. Gold, my grandfather, asks, looking at me through the rearview mirror. Through the rather small car mirror, I could easily notice the joy beaming off him. I knew he enjoyed finally spending some time with me, his only grandson. I was the only closest thing he had to his son, my dad.
I sigh then look at myself, making sure I was well dressed. I wore grey suit that my grandpa had given to me with a royal blue tie, which Belle was kind enough to tie for me, and a pair of dress shoes. Once I felt that I was mentally and physically prepared, I look up and nod towards my grandparents.
"Yea, I'm ready."
With that, we all exit the car and walk together towards the large mansion. I was a few steps ahead of the two. I didn't realize how excited I was to be going to my own party. I guess after all of the years of just my mom (Regina) and I it was time for a change. In a matter of seconds, I stood in front of the door, which was the only thing separating me from the party on the other side. I sigh and was about to grab the handle until my grandpa beat me to it.
"Allow me, Henry. The birthday boy should have a grand entrance," he says. I nod. With that, he slowly opens the door and what I was met with overwhelms me. Once a few people caught sight of me, they began cheering, and in a couple of seconds, everyone inside gave me a grand applause. I didn't know how to react, but I somehow feel myself walking into the crowd as they kept chanting 'Happy Birthday' and such. I was in such a daze that I didn't even realize I was suddenly pulled into my mom's (Regina) arms.
"Happy Birthday, Henry," she sweetly says. She couldn't contain the huge smile that was stuck on her. Her bright smile was just too contagious that I couldn't stop myself from doing the same.
I return the hug and say, "Thanks, Mom."
"Where has the time gone? Where was that little boy that always needed my help?"
"Don't worry I'm still here."
She laughs then lets me go. I felt a hand grab my shoulder and I see Robin Hood, who stood beside Regina, smiling at me.
"Happy Birthday, Henry," he says.
"Thanks."
I look around, trying to find my other mom (Emma), and immediately spot her standing near-by. She looks back at me with a huge grin on her face. I walk over to her and give her a huge hug.
"Happy Birthday, kid," she says.
"Thanks, Mom." We release each other after a long embrace. Like my mom (Regina), she still has a big grin on her face. "You guys really went all out for me."
