~Henry's POV~
Right as the bell rings, signaling it was lunch, I dash out of my classroom before anyone else had the chance to get up from their seat. Usually, I'm okay with sitting in my classroom for a certain amount of time, but today I was eager to get out. I just needed some fresh air to let out all the stress that was building up inside of me. I push open the front door of the school building and walk out into the yard. Luckily, the school didn't have a policy on students leaving school grounds during lunch so I was free to roam as I please. I set my backpack on a nearby bench and sit myself down.
I let out a long sigh.
"Rough day was it?" someone says beside me.
I jump in response. "What are you doing here?"
"What? I can't see you around in Storybrooke? What do you think I'm supposes to do all day?" Melody questions. I take a good look at her attire and realize she was wearing the school uniform similar to mine, except she wore a skirt with black tights underneath, black combat boots, a scarf, and the glasses she wore the first time we met. To everyone else, she looks like any regular student at my school.
"No, I mean, you can come visit me, but out here?! In the open where everyone can see you?!"
"Don't worry. We'll be fine as long as no one I know comes at our direction. Because let me tell you, even though everyone in this town doesn't seem to remember who I am, I still act weird when I'm around the people I once knew."
"You didn't act weird when you first met me?"
"What exactly is your definition of weird?"
"Probably way different than yours."
"That's true. Anyways, what was up with you? You ran out of the building so fast I thought there was a fire."
"I just needed to come and get some air."
"Why? Are you still stressed out over what your moms were talking about?"
I nod.
"Don't worry. For now, I haven't seen any more signs of another leopard in the forest. It could've been a misunderstanding."
"Still, what if a wild animal is out there? What if it's Sabor?"
Her body tenses up and her face changes into a darker expression. "There's no possible way that it could be her. And, even if it was, I wouldn't hesitate to kill her again."
"Look, Mel," I start. I decided to give Melody a nickname awhile back because 'Melody' was sort of a mouthful, and I needed to call her something else besides sis or sister. "There's no need to be so rash."
"Henry, you don't understand what kind of monster Sabor was. She killed innocent children for fun. What do you think she is going to do if she is actually here? I can't risk anyone's safety, especially Roland, Neal, or you."
"I get it, but sometimes doing things the evil way isn't always the right way. Sometimes killing isn't always the answer."
"It worked for me."
I sigh. With that, I un-zip my backpack and take out the storybook inside. It was the exact storybook containing Melody's story. Once she caught sight of the book, she scoots closer to me to get a good look at the book.
"So, did you get a chance to finish the story?"
"Only to the end of your fight with Sabor. Didn't get much of a chance to read."
"Oh, I see."
"I'm curious; what else happens in your story?"
"I rather not spoil anything; you'll just have to get as much as you can out of the book. Though, there's not a lot to go by. I didn't exactly give the previous authors much to go on."
