OH my gosh! Oh my gosh! How did this happen? How are we here? I can't believe it. Honestly, I think I might cry.
Y'all have no idea how much this story means to me. I've grown so much as a writer since starting this. At the beginning, I was just entering college with no idea of what I wanted to do for the future, and now... I'm in a Master's program for creative writing!!! Like what?! Now I'm on this journey to write my own original stories, and let me tell you, it's so different and so fun.
But to be honest, I don't want this book to end. If I could, I'd let it go on forever!!! But what's the point of a story if there's no happy ending?
So... I say this with bittersweet nostalgia... Please enjoy the FINAL chapter of "The Magic Within".

This cat is honestly the fluffiest creature I've ever laid my eyes on. For a kitten as small as her, she resembles that of a cotton ball. Three-fourths of her body is fur while the rest is her actual body. In no way would Marie survive the heat of the jungle. Her fur and humidity? I'm overheating just thinking about it.
Plus, she's just too cute.
Picking her up feels like I'm picking up a feather duster. She's so soft, and she's nothing but a ball of fur. But no matter how cute Marie is, she's not going to get away with everything. I still need my shoelaces, especially when they're tied into my boots.
I pick her up just as her teeth bite the plastic tips of the lace. Marie, in turn, tries to pull herself out of my hand. Her tiny paws stretch out as if she can reach the ground, and her claws protrude for her desire to claw something.
I scoff. "She's such a feisty little thing."
"Really? This one is just lazy," Mom replies. She sits just across from me on the light rug.
Emma's home may be open, but the living room isn't big enough for many guests. It's only when you move the furniture away just right, then you get that open airway between the living room and the kitchen. The perfect space for three kittens to run to and from without destroying anymore décor.
At last, I drop Marie, forcing her attention to a stuffed mouse on the floor. She immediately pounces on the toy. Her claw scratch at her victim, like a lioness to her prey.
Mom, on the other hand, pokes at Toulouse. Unlike his sister, whose long locks of pearly white fur occupy most of her body, Toulouse is more body than fur. Mom's finger only grazes his orange fur before she hits pudge. "All he wants to do is lie around."
The orange cat does nothing at the provoking poke. In fact, he sinks more next to Mom's lap.
"I wish they were all like that," Emma states. She walks back from the kitchen with Berlioz on hand. It's the second time he's followed her into the kitchen. "This one is way too nosy." She puts the black cat down.
Then, Berlioz's first objective is to jump his brother. They start playing immediately after as Berlioz lures his brother away from Mom.
She, in turn, brushes away any hair that litters her pants.
"I had spent an hour trying to find him the other night. Turns out he was in the bedroom upstairs sleeping in Killian's shoe." With that, Emma sets down a dish she'd been holding in her other hand. As soon as the ceramic plate hits the wood, away from the rug, it's like a ring of the alarm.
