~Time Skip to Henry's Birthday~
~Unknown POV~
I look around in my old, worn-out drawers and wardrobe trying to find the best thing to wear for the so-called 'Ball' for Henry Miller, the birthday boy. I needed to find something suitable for such a grand occasion. It strictly stated that guest must wear semi-formal/formal attire. At least, it said on the invitation I received (stole) while I was walking through the town. I double-check the card, making sure I was right, and see when and where the Ball was going to be held.
"Hm, the Lakeside Mansion," I say to myself, "I always liked that place. It was so roomy in there."
I shake my head, getting back to reality, and continue looking through the large mess, or should I say messes, in order to find something nice to wear. I mean, I knew I could just conjure up a new dress, but what's the point of having sewing skills if you're not going to use them. Sure, my skills were a little rusty but I could still make something nice. I knew I had sewn a lovely dress a while back in case something like this ever occurred. If only I could just find it.
As I continue scouring through my wardrobe, I finally spot a hint of red under a pile of clothes. I cheer to myself (since I'm the only person in my home) as I pull out the dress I've been looking for the past half-hour. My home wasn't exactly the cleanest, or brightest, place I could find. I mean, what else could I find in a forest.
Once I retrieve the dress, I walk over to the mirror and place the dress onto my body. The dress itself was a red long-sleeve, skater dress that stops just above my knees and has a simple, sweetheart neckline. I knew this dress would go excellent with some heels. With that, I conjure up a pair of simple black cross-strap high heels, which were placed beside my feet. As I look at my reflection, I notice something was missing, something to pull this outfit together.
"Now, what could I be missing?" I ask myself. Then, I gasp at the realization, and I conjure up the object in my hand. There, in my hands, hung a silver necklace with a heart-shape ruby hanging at the end. I smile to myself, seeing my whole outfit come together.
"Oh, Henry, it's going to be a pleasure to finally meet you."
~Emma's POV~
"You know, I thought having a birthday party meant hanging banner and having a birthday cake," I say.
At the moment, I was currently trying to move some of the furniture out from the mansion in order to make more room for people to roam (and, for them not to get damaged); luckily, there was a large enough shed out back that was able to hold most of the furniture for the entire night. Everyone, which included Regina, Robin, David, Killian, and Belle, and I were busy preparing for Henry's party, or Ball which Regina keeps pestering me about. Mary Margaret helped as well but my little brother, Neal, can be quite the handful, and Mr. Gold was in charge of keeping Henry busy. Even though Henry really wanted to help us, Regina thought he should have the day to himself. After all, this was his day. But, back to planning committee, ever since early in the morning, we've been cleaning. There were a lot of things that needed to be moved in the large mansion.
"Well, Ms. Swan, this isn't the sad, little parties you're used to. This is a 'Royal Ball', or at least, an extravagant party in this world," Regina states.
"I never thought that this much work had to be put in for a party."
"Ball."
"Whatever. You should be lucky I'm helping out."
"You had no choice. This is for your son's birthday."
