[Chapter 5] Mysterious Girl

~A few days later~

After the encounter with Melody, the party had went on just like any other. But, now after a few days, I was no step closer to finding out how she knew all that stuff that no ordinary person would know. I had searched front and back through the story book but did not find a single trace of her. The question that constantly lingered in my mind was 'who was she and what else does she know'. She could've been the person, that my mom (Emma) told me about, who had hurt Roland in the forest, but I have no way of knowing.

I remembered that Melody had told me that she visits the fairies over at the StoryBrooke Convent, so a couple of days ago I visited the place to see if the Blue Fairy, aka Mother Superior, knew anything about her.

~FlashBack~

I walk up the steps towards the Convent. I hope that the Blue Fairy will at least have some answers to my question. I make it to the front door, and I hesitantly reach out for the door knob but someone had beat me to opening the door. I jump aback, and on the other side of the doorway, Tinkerbell jumps as well.

"Tink?"

"Oh, hey Henry." She smiles. She fixes the bag that lay on her shoulder.

"What are you doing here?"

"I should be asking you the same thing, but since you asked first, I live here."

"You do?"

"Yea, where else would I go? Blue offered me to stay, and I couldn't refuse. Now, may I ask you what you're doing here?"

"I came to visit the Blue Fairy myself."

"Oh, well she's here, though I don't know which room to be exact. Come on in." She moves off to the side, and I enter the building. "I wish I could help you find her, but I have to go pick up some groceries. Bye." With that, she closes the door behind her, and I'm left alone in the building.

I walk around the building for a few minutes without finding the Blue Fairy. I linger through the hallways and peep through every open door I find. Then, I stumble upon a room. It turns out to be Mother Superior's office, and after slowly peeking my head through the doorway, I see her standing in the room, beside a desk, looking through a pile of papers.

"Um, Blue Fairy."

She quickly turns around. "Oh, hello Henry. What are you doing here?" she calmly asks. She places the papers onto her desk.

I walk into the room. The wooden floorboards creek with each step I took. "I had a question for you; it's about a particular person."

"And, who is this person might I ask?"

"Her name is Melody."

She was taken aback after I said her name.

"So, you know her."

"Yes, I do. Why would you ask about her?"

"I wanted to know what you can tell me about her."

"Well, there's not much to tell. She only comes here to volunteer her time but that's only on her rare visits when she isn't here to pick up her rations. Of course, when she does volunteer, she mainly keeps to herself. She is very distant towards others."

"I've heard. But, what do you mean she picks up her rations?"

"Oh, she picks up her rations the sisters and I give to her every month. It mainly contains food, water, and other necessities she'll need for that month.
