I almost feel like changing this so the effects of the battle are numbed, maybe the whole battle being erased from her memory. All of her future selves have had their memories of the battle erased, only to have them back as a punishment. I start to eat my breakfast and butterflies start to fill my stomach for two different reasons.

I see Ella get up and go to my room and I follow her only to see her curled up by the fireplace, my stocking hanging on the mantle. I go over to the Christmas tree and grab a present wrapped in a pretty wrapping paper. Going over to Ella, I sit down and give the box-like present to her along with a warm smile.

"What's this for?" Ella asks. "Christmas is 4 days away."

"It's an early present that I want you to open up right now," I reply.

Ella nods and unwraps it, revealing a brown cardboard box that's taped around the top and bottom. She takes the tap off and opens the box to reveal a blue and orange bracelet, the colors swirling around each other. She looks at it and a charm dangles from it, the outline of a dragon on the charm. She slips it on her arm and she starts to form a smile on her face before hugging me.

"Thanks for the present," Ella says.

"You don't need to thank me, you deserve it."

"Hunter, I'm just experiencing a weird emotion when I'm around you. I need to find the answer why and I need to be alone."

Blood rushes to my cheeks and I start to blush. "I've been feeling that weird emotion around you as well, it's called love."

Ella starts to blush and I wrap an arm around her, ruffling her hair a bit before she rests her head on my shoulder. I start to sing and I let the fire become larger, Ella needing to stay warm. She starts to fall asleep and I shut my mouth, my mouth forming into a small frown. Once she's asleep, I lift her up and carry her to her room, placing her in her bed and putting blankets over her to keep her warm.

---

I'm still a little dizzy as I stand up and look into my mirror, my faked hair falling to about my waist as well as my bang coming back, my grand height of 5' 1". My shirt has transformed into a long sleeve shirt while my sport shorts are now jeans. My sunglasses have been changed from a basic pair to a more stylish pair. Even my name has been changed on a mental level.

I walk into Ella's room and see her waking up, Ella stretching her arms out and yawning, her blankets wrapped around her. I walk over to her and she looks at me, her eyes wide open revealing a slight timid blue shade covering her brown eyes, my mind feeling so weird and slightly awkward right now. Ella hides under the sheets again and I see the sheets rise, her wings raising them up before the sheets fall off.

"Who are you?" Ella asks, her voice kinda quivering. "And what time is it?"

"Names Haley and it's only around 5 in the morning, you can sleep a little longer if you like," I reply, my voice feeling a little bit scary to me, my new 'name' feeling weird on my mouth.

"When did you get here?"

"Oh, I've been her since, uh, yesterday. Yea, yesterday!"

"Well I'm awake now. Now explain why you're here."

"I'm just here to make you feel more comfortable... you know... since apparently my real self is too uncomfortable to talk to now."

I can see water start to form in Ella's eyes and she hides under to blankets, my hand just moving towards her and pulling the blankets off. I see Ella shivering and I create a few ambers, placing one in her bracelet and one on her hand. She looks up and smiles a little bit before frowning.

"Look, I know your trying to get my to tell you what's wrong but I've told you already," Ella says as I sit down beside her, her wings folding in.

"So you really do love me when I'm..." dang it, I forgot my real name. "Hunter?"

"I didn't know it was love until you said it was, plus I'm not ready to be in a relationship until the battle is over with - and we still don't know what's going to happen."

"Well when I'm normal, I like you. My ex, she was terrible. When I was hanging out with her one afternoon, she stole one of my cell phones and changed all the contacts. Then she came back with it and tried to apologize in order to go to the local high school's volleyball game."

"But I thought you loved her?"

"I did but then things just started to go bad. Anyway, I contacted Josie to see if she could make us armor for the battle and she said she would try and make stuff for us but she won't be able to fight because of power."

"But we need her to help us, she's one of our more powerful people."

"It's a major blow but these weapons might protect us from the mystery army we have to face. Speaking of weapons, do you want to practice?"

Ella hesitates and I instantly know why - the last time she had it she got her by me which I didn't do on purpose. I give her a little pat on the back and she flinches a little bit but after a few seconds relaxes, taking breaths in and out. She gives a little nod and we stand up, my hand pushing my bracelet down before opening up the door telekinetically.

As we walk into the battle room, I go over to her sword and take it from the rack, the blue metal almost looking like waves rippling across it. As I give her it, I notice a blue glow around the edges of the sword, the purple gems in the handle simmering in the glow. The handle's designs start to morph to contour around Ella's hand, giving her a little shield around her dominant hand.

I form my axe and I take a deeper look at it, the almost golden handle feeling so smooth and overall very comforting to the touch, it's doubled handed grip keeping my hands firmly in place. I compare our two weapons and notice that Ella's is fancier than mine, the gems making it in the thousands.

Mine? Well it might be in the hundreds.

We walk to the ring and I see Ella take a deep breath in, her mindset changing under her control. I give her a smile and she starts to shake, something about me scaring her into shaking. We bow down and lock eyes.

"Ready?" I ask.

"Ready."

Hi guys! I'm not really going through Writer's Block but at the same time I am - it's just the process of going back and re-writing Spark and now I have to do all that fun professional stuff like outlining, making sure all my characters have backgrounds, and check grammar... not fun. Anyway do you think Hunter's plan was brilliant or not? Also since we reached 150 votes, I will be doing the interview but I need questions and maybe characters. Next goal: 200.

Qotc: What do you think about Hunter as a character?
