I sit in the room with a few other people, Josie walking around the room, Ella sitting in front of me, Ava sitting in front of Maddie, and me. Josie spots me and Ella along with the other two and starts to read out loud as a flash of bright light blinds me as I start to feel something pick me up and put me in a warm room. I open my eyes to see I'm in the butterfly habit with Ella and three others, the other three on the other side of the glass.
"So this is EFTC and while the others are learning about the different troops, we will be talking to each other about feelings and stuff since the 4 of you know about the troops. Now each of you trust each other and each of you need help with emotional help or with your feelings. Now you guys should know that your powers have been disabled but you can fly however I don't see any sense in that because you will mostly be talking with each other. After 20 minutes you will be aloud out and you will be your normal selves and not your butterfly selves," Josie says as she leaves the habit and goes to her normal self, reading as she looks at us.
"So Ella, I kinda need to talk to you about something. We have this huge habit to talk about it so where do you want to go?" I ask as I flap my wings.
"Maybe to the pond or the fake flower field," Ella says as she looks down and flaps her wings.
"Let's go."
---
I land next to Ella as she sits down on a rock, her little wide eyes still not used to being butterflies. Her wings shining a little blue as she frowns, herself and myself knowing that this would be a struggle. I sit in front of her, my wings feeling so weird but gives me a bundle of comfort.
"So what do you have to tell me," Ella says with her head down, her antenna staring at me.
"Well today during lunch the boys told me about the dance and said I should invite you to go. Doesn't have to me a date or anything but-"
"Yes, I'll go but can we please talk about feelings and emotions because I built up courage."
"Ok. Do you have anything to talk about?" I say as I walk over to her, putting two of my arms around her butterfly shoulder.
"You know what you said about the growing up stuff, well I thought about it and I need to yet I imagine barriers blocking me from reaching my fears so I stay hidden from my fears which stops me from facing them. Hunter, I just can't stay hidden forever and when I get out of hiding, I'm going to be faced with all of them at the same time. I just want to face them one at a time, lay the barriers down and fight, because I can't mind control my fears."
"Ok, since I know you have seen Star Wars, you know about the Jedi training. I want you just to let your control seep away from you and let your emotions take over. I know you can do this Ella, in one of your memories you lose your control when your playing the violin, but I just want you to lose control right now, besides you can't get hurt because your a little butterfly."
I see Ella start to stare up at the wiring, her wings starting to flitter as she starts to shake all over. I start to look at my wings and notice how they keep following me around, so new to how they are making me fly instead of my powers. Sighing I quickly see Ella looking at me, her eyes looking around the habit which is a five foot by five foot cube, and then looking at me.
"Hi Hunter," Ella says as she looks at her wings. "Everything ok?"
"Yea, just I want you to come out of hiding of a fear you have, I'll be here to help you if you start to freak out," I say as I look at her.
---
"That wasn't hard, now was it?" I ask as Ella takes control again.
"But that was a small fear," Ella says.
