Chapter 41 (December 5th, 4:21 pm (ff), Ella)

December 5th, 4:21 pm

1 day before my birthday

I don't know how to feel right now, I feel sad yet brave but I still need to train for the 6:00 pm time travel tomorrow, also I need to rest for the evolution tomorrow that happens at 6:00 am. Supposedly there's a clan meeting tomorrow in the portal world meaning Ava is going to work hard bringing around 30 people into the portal world at the same time, I just hope she can. But I just hope the group won't be in any unimportant danger in the near future.

At the bus stop today, I saw Hunter with a orange book bag and sunglasses, sporting a red long sleeved shirt with jeans. Strangely Reese's brother wasn't at the bus stop which was odd, he always wanted to get on my nerves or Madison's nerves. Me and Hunter talked about normal things like school and stuff but it didn't feel like talking to him- but then again we cant talk about the group at all.

Jasmine was talking about a weird dream she had, which in reality was real life though I don't know why she was in there. However back to the main point, teachers would ask about Hunter having sunglasses on, he would reply that he was having a headache. In science we got a new project and my partners are Hunter, Lahela, and Jasmine.

All throughout the day, I couldn't help but think about what Hunter told me, that only I can fix my personality, myself, and I want that so bad! But as I began to think, what would people think of me if I wasn't the same type of person? Every choice has a pros and cons and only I can choose. I think I'm going to try to change myself for the better, showing my true self would be the first step.

Thats it for today, future me. First day of your project you told me to do.

I put down my pen and close my journal only to hear a knock on my door to my room which is colored in a sea blue. Sighing, I hide my journal and walk to my door, opening it up and seeing it is Reese and Hunter. I invite them in, looking around my room making sure everything is ok and nothing is out of place.

"Sup guys," I say as I close my door, opening up the window thats built into my door.

"Nothing much besides my eyes burn like crazy!" Hunter replies. "But good job in the battle this morning, no bloodshed and no loss."

"I tried but I somehow thought to drop lava on you and we woke up."

"You did good but I just hope this doesn't stay till Monday."

"Zap said it would only last two days," I say as Hunter takes off his sunglasses revealing a red glow from each.

"What are you guys talking about?" Reese asks.

"Something happened that we will talk about tomorrow during the group meeting."

"I'm still in the clan?"

"Yeah, your the fifth ranked person."

"I thought I was kicked out."

"No, Zap told me that you were undermined control and I'll tell you the rest tomorrow."

"Whats the list of ranks?" I ask as I take out my pen and journal, prepared to write the list down.

"Me, you, Heith, Maddie, Reese, Momma K, Brianna, Jose, Larry, Maddie's mother, Johnny, Andy, Colleen, Fred, Gaby is all I know right now but theirs a few people in the middle but the last two are Ava and Isabella though I think since I haven't taken Nina's powers yet that she's before Ava."

I start to write till I hear a knock on my door, a fast paced knock that can only mean one of my three friends with the same knock. Through the window I see Mallory, one of my closer friends, though she likes to be called Pandacorn - for what reason I don't know. "Come in, the door isn't locked!" I speak/yell as she opens the door and start to awe.

"Who's this guy?" Mallory asks.

"Oh, he's my new neighbor," I say as Hunter looks back at Mallory from the window, his sunglasses on.

"I have a headache so can you guys kinda lower your voices," Hunter says.

"Sure, but do you like your neighbor Hunter?" Mallory asks.

"Not as in love."

"Are you good at hunting?"

"Ha ha, very funny but no, I lived in Chicago before I moved here, I had to leave my ex behind."

"Your ex?"

"She dumped me on the last day of school for me."

The conversation keeps going as me, Hunter, and Reese mentally talk, Mallory sitting on my floor with the rest of us. She keeps on looking at Hunter's sunglasses, until she starts to ask about them, asking if anything is wrong with his eyes. Instantly I mind control Mallory to stop asking and making her ask a question not on that topic.

"Ella, whats your favorite song?" she asks.

"Best day of my life."

"Can you sing it?"

"I had a dream so big and loud I jumped so high I touched the clouds who-oo-oo-oa, who-oo-oo-oa."

Time starts to pass as I go and get a drink of water before I start to notice I can see one of Mallory's memories. I push it back into the back of my head, not trying to think about it until I see whats in that memory. The memory shows Hunter's eyes, crimson glowing whole eye red.

"Hunter, Mallory saw your eyes," I send.

"Can she be trusted?" Hunter sends.

"I think, should we ask her to be in the group?"

"Sure but how?"

They say that time heals you, but that's not my case, my troubles is caused because of time being to slow. Time is never my friend, time causes me to feel depressed, unwanted to some sorts, but I need to improve myself and the only way is by time, learning to grow for the better in all ways. That's what I'm thinking when I walk back to my room at my house, only to be pushed out of my thoughts by Mallory.

Mallory or Pandacorn has been my friend since first grade but yet I don't show my true self to her, my somewhat brave side, yet if you've been living with a different personality, it's hard to go back to your normal self, especially if you've known a person for so long that they'll think you lied about everything to them. Mallory fits into that type of person, one that will think of me as a cold-hearted liar if I went back to my real self, my true self. So I'm at a crossroad, deciding to stay how I was or to reveal my real self that spooks me.

"Hey Mallory, we need to talk to you," Hunter says. "We as in all 3 of us."

"Ok what is it?"

"You saw my eyes."

"No."

"You did."

"Fine! I did but why does this matter?"

"We want you to join our group," I say as I start to explain the group.

"Bye," Reese yells.
