"So, uh, what happened," asks my new clanmate Nina who is also my classmate. "Well you wouldn't understand yet and even if you do, it's going to be hard since you don't have powers yet," I explain. We are at our meeting in our own building with the whole Delmarva group, that is mostly pre-teens like me, in the clan.
"We should pick one," Nina says as she leans back in her chair, leaning her head back, "I don't have all night for this you know."
I roll my eyes. Last year Nina hated me and bullied me to the point to whenever i see her, I try to hide. I sit up and think. "What should it be? Why should we even pick one, it's only been 3 days since we joined? Why join this clan with someone you know you bullied can kick you out?" I think to myself.
"Well you see there is kinda a problem with letting you have powers right of the bat," says Momma K finally speaking up, knocking me out of my thinking. I give her a thumbs up and i spin around in the chair, I didn't have all night too, I had science homework with math. Only the effect of a 3 day weekend that we just had.
"Why, I've been in the clan for 3 days now. Shouldn't that be alright to give me powers?" Nina asks with a frown on her face.
"Oh, uh, ok," Momma K says gesturing for the rest of us to come up with a name.
"Well she is fierce as fire so I think Fire Barbarian," I say wanting to kinda go home.
"Ok, take her to the machine," says Momma K.
"Good luck Ella with Nina in our clan now," whispers Gaby to me.
"We'll need it," I whisper back.
I walk Nina to the machine and press a few buttons. Just then she walks in and about 20 lights glow around the frame. "You will be find Nina," I say, "even though you bullied me last year."
"Last year is the past, think about the future," she replies.

Hi guys! What do you think of Nina wanting powers right off the bat? Also I feel bad for Ella a little, she was bullied by Nina. As always, last chapter we learned that Reese has a person in her head telling her to seek revenge on Hunter and Ella.
