I nestle against Ella and start to purr, my beautiful fur feeling so soft and warm to me and hopefully Ella. She wraps an arm around me and I smile, Ella still falling asleep bit by bit to try to slow her blood flow. I curl up around her arm and feel her cold skin start to heat up due to my furry touch of warmth.
I start a fire in the room and it's heat radiates to me, filling me with a pleasant extra warmth along with keeping Ella warm, her back still bleeding. I start to feel water come into my eyes and I place my ears over my eyes, trying to not get seen crying. I didn't mean it Ella, I don't want you ever to be hurt again.
Broken promises was all my thoughts were, broken promises that I thought I couldn't break or crack but I did. I didn't want to hurt Ella but now she's bleeding because of me, my stupid practice fight against her might of damaged her. And because of that, we have to go to the game's headquarters to see if they can fix her.
I hop off of Ella and quickly go into my Hybrid form before going into my human form, taking a peak at Ella's mind, seeing if she has any dreams. I get her a blanket and cover her, the small fire staying put. Ella curls up to the blanket and I sit beside her, the back of her head towards me.
I sometimes wonder if she trusts me since she's been acting moody lately and I don't mean that in a bad way, it could be her dragon side. I feel like I'm the one who is the weakest in the group because I can't protect - and protecting the group was a broken promise as well. Ella starts to move and I place a hand on her back.
"Hunter?" Roland asks as I jump a little.
"Yes?"
"Me and Light went on a raid at HA, we got the serums."
"Most of them I hope."
"All of the big ones."
I nod and hand a hand through my hair. "Anything back from the HQ?"
"They are expecting us by 11:45 East Coast time."
"Ok."
I sit down beside Ella and still see the purple blood still running out of her back and shoulder, the rest of her scales besides her. I ask Roland to pick up them and bring them to me, the scales feeling soft like feathers but yet strong and hard. Placing the scales in my lap, I rub my hands over them and the soft, almost fluffy like, material that lays on top of it starts to come off, revealing the nice, strong, hard core of them.
I get up and place them on Ella's desk, thinking of making them into something for a present for her. Ella turns again and I hold her up, the blood soaking through the multi-layer stack of towels. I look at her and see her face becoming pale, the blood loss affecting her.
---
We appear at Supercell, the sky getting darker each second we are there, Ella's blood still coming out. I hold her in my arms and rush to the paramedics, their arms open for Ella. Before I get to them, I whisper "get better soon" and I hand her over, her heartbeat and breathing slowing down.
I should be back there, making sure that Ella will be fine, nursing to her needs but I'm out her because I'm the one who did it. I would hope that Ella will get better and I could just sit by her, telling her that everything was going to be ok but in retrospect, it would take her almost a few hours now to make sure everything is ok and then she would have to be watched. Shrugging my shoulders, I take out my phone and call Ella's dad and sit down.
"Hello?" Ella's dad asks.
"This is Hunter and I'm just calling to tell you that Ella has another injury to her shoulder," I say as I hear him cuss over the phone. "However she's going to be fine by tonight."
