The sky's lovely shade of blue starts to change, its color changing to a blood red, the sun disappearing under the harsh storm clouds forming. I feel my wings start to beat faster and faster but my feet stay on the grass becoming the lava. I look up in front of me and see Gilbert, his red eyes burning into my skull and mind.

"You," I say, gritting my teeth. "Why would you do this."

Hunter comes from behind him, his eyes turning from orange to red. "It wasn't my fault that your like this, it's his fault," Gilbert says pointing to Hunter.

"Hunter, why would you do this? I thought we were friends."

Hunter smirks. "The question is, why did you do this."

Hunter lifts his hand up and I feel the remaining grass drop from me, making me hover over the lava. He jolts me up and then lowers me only inches over the lava, the lava's heat reaching me. I stare at him, both of us locking eyes. He jolts me down and I go into the lava.

"Ella, wake up," Hunter says as I jump, my eyes opening up. "Calm down."

I back up to my head board on my bed. "Leave me alone!"

"It's ok, it was just a nightmare bu-."

"Just go!"

"Ok?"

Hunter walks out of the room and I look in the mirror, scales crawling up neck and along my arms. I start to freak out, my wings wrapping around me as I ball up, my tail rocking me back and forth. I feel something warm and fluffy ball up next to me and I pick it up, cradling it in my now scaly arms.

The bunny softly nestles me and purrs, it's steady heart beat calming me down from my outburst. Pleasure washes over me as my voice box vibrates like it would when I growl, but this was a light vibration, causing me to let out a light purr. The bunny looks up at me and I hold it close to my stomach.

My stomach lurches and I feel something unidentifiable almost leave me, my gut telling me it's bad. I break into a coughing fit and the bunny looks up at me, it's paws trying to reach for my neck. I start having problems breathing and the bunny hops in front of me, morphing into Hunter.

He reaches his hand out and feels my forehead, a worried look on his face as I look up at him. He pulls his hand back and shakes his head, sliding off my bed and going into the hallway. He comes back with a thermometer and places it in my hand.

"Your running a temperature," he says as he looks at my neck. "You have something."

"And only 2 days before the battle," I reply.

"Actually only 1 day before the battle, it's almost 30 past midnight."

"What?!"

I start panic but Hunter calms me down by going into his butterfly form and landing on my nose, his wings looking like stained glass. He starts to yawn and flutters in front of me before landing on my head. He starts to mess my hair up before he flies down in front of me, changing into his Hybrid form.

"I'll go get you a healing potion but while I'm gone, check your temperature. If you need anything, our parents are still awake so go to them. Don't use your powers unless it's an emergency. Stay here until I come back or you need something," Hunter says, his orange eyes looking at me worriedly. "Every thing is going to be fine."

"Yea right," I mumble under my breath, Hunter going to the guest room to get his tablet.

---

Hunter's iPad shakes and Hunter appears in my doorway, his arms and face bleeding, his axe in his hand. He makes it disappear and walks over to me, my back hurting along with my hands and feet. He hands me the healing potion and I drink it up.

"What was your temperature?" Hunter asks.

"101 degrees Fahrenheit," I reply.

Hunter's eyes glaze over as he thinks. "Until your fever breaks, I want you to just stay in bed. I'm going to ask Brianna if she could help you in the morning when the sun comes up. Meanwhile, just relax. I'm going to contact Ms.Kat if she knows anything about what's happening."

"What happened to your face?"

"I'll tell you later, I don't want you to worry about anything."

"But what about the battle?"

"We'll see about that later today."

I start to lay back down, my wings folding in along with my tail going limp, my hands feeling weird like they're growing longer. I let out little whimpers and Hunter comes to me, his shirt a bright orange even without the lamp on. He looks at me and I my eyes start to water, Hunter putting his bracelet on, making him go into human form.

I turn into a bunny and Hunter picks me up, cradling me in his arms as I ball up, not wanting him to see me crying. He strokes my fur and brushes it, my fur starting to get damp and dry together. Hunter walks me to the guest room where he puts on lullabies, my eyes starting to close. He sits down and places me beside him before reaching out for his guitar, the guest room light on.

He plays a few cords before he starts to play I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz before singing, his singing voice a little bit bad but it not bothering me. My nightmare flashes back to me and I start to nestle myself, trying to get rid of it. I here Hunter in my mind as he starts to calm me down, making my soon to be dreams happy.

"Thanks," I say, my voice so cute.

"No problem," Hunter replies as he stops playing for a second. "Any requests?"

"No, you pick."

"I don't know that song," he replies breaking into a grin.

He starts to play some cords to the tune of the lullabies and I yawn, my eyes trying to keep open. He starts to notice this and places his guitar by his air mattress, picking me up and taking me back to my room. He places me down on my bed and I snuggle up to the sheets and blankets.

"Get better," Hunter says before I fall asleep.
