Spark (Under Editing and Updating)

Chapter 46 (December 6th, 4:59 am (pwt), Ella & Hunter)

I hop into the portal from my home and arrive in my room in the meeting place, my room being a light blue room with a dark blue wavy line and a purple line in the same fashion. Slowly I walk over to my desk and see notes and pictures lied across the desk, all from Zap to me, though as I look through the notes, I notice they are about yesterday morning. Pushing the multiple notes and photos away, I walk up to my bed and see my future self sleeping and decide not to wake her up; she isn't suppose to be awake for 3 more hours due to that she's under a sleeping liquid Lahela made for me and Hunter's future selves.

I trace my hands along the lines in my room, calming me down as they intercept each other. The vibrant colors lead me to the door and I walk out to the kitchen where I start to cook eggs and bacon for Zap, me, and Hunter. Looking to my right I see Hunter come into the room, stretching as he starts to yawn, his sunglasses starting to slide off his face.

"Hi Hunter," I say happily.

"What makes you so, uh, h-h-happy at such an early hour?" Hunter says yawning.

"Nothing, I woke up and felt happy and saw it was almost time to set up for the meet today."

"Happy 13th. Are you ready to get upgraded today to level two?"

"Yea, I guess though I haven't tried to use my Hybrid power yet, it started to happen yesterday when Pandacorn was over."

"Pandacorn? Don't you mean Mallory?" Hunter asks.

"Pandacorn is her band name. Do you like your eggs over easy or scrambled?"

"Scrambled. You know you should try you Hybrid power out on your future self since it will cut down on confusion plus you can do it while she's asleep."

"I'll do it after I eat," I say as Zap comes in. "I'm hungry after only 10 minutes from bringing two time travelers into the portal world and back."

I sat there, eating my eggs and bacon when I started to hear Ella muttering to herself, her eyes looking right and left very slowly. Zap starts to notice and taps her on her shoulder making her put her hands down to stabilize herself as she snaps out of what was happening. She goes back to eating as me and Zap look at each other, both of us using eye, hand, and head geysers.

"Ella your not going to like the update," Zap says as he looks at her.

"I thought it was going to boost my speed?" Ella asks

"It will with other things too but you won't like the process that makes the upgrade possible since your different in two ways. Hunter can you explain?"

"I don't know what the upgrade or update will do due to that we didn't agree on the same process but your secondary power and your Hybrid power have to do with the brain, so the upgrade will do something will your mind. The two ways that you and in fact me have that makes us different is that we got our powers from the real lightning, the other being that we are Hybrids meaning that the upgrade will effect that side of us," I say as I start to see water building up in Ella's eyes but vanish, probably Ella deflected the tears.

"I hate being different," Ella says.

"The more different you are the more unique you are. I just hope you don't have to face the serum than your fine."

"That's the problem Hunter," Zap says. "She's going to face the serum."

I felt pains starting to come at me as I walked to Hunter's room since he asked me to move furniture around, however something catches the corner of my eye. It was a piece of paper on the ground, but it was folded neatly meaning that I should probably hand it to Hunter. That's when I fall face forward.

"Hunter, I found this on the ground," I say as he comes over and takes the paper. "I need some water or something, I'm getting dehydrated from the heat in this home."

"Oh yea, sorry about that, I'll turn the heat down to 60 degrees also you can look over the paper, it's nothing really," Hunter says as he hands me the paper as I get up of the marble floor.

I start to read the paper.

I would like to thank you all for coming this meeting as I and others have important topics to go over. First off we have several new group members joining.

I stop reading and sit on the bed, placing the paper right beside me as the pains start to take over, making me turn into my Hybrid form, my attitude getting tempered. I just hope they find me soon and take me so I can just walk around being a Hybrid, I think as Hunter sits by me in his Hybrid form, I'm also going to have to get over Hunter being a Hybrid as well. Hunter looks over to me, his sunglasses covering his eyes, and starts to smile at me.

"I hate being a Hybrid," I say as I turn to face Hunter. "Do you hate it?"

"I hated it before I trained it to stay in but with the serum that your going to take I haven't been through it, I'm still a level 1," Hunter says, "I lied about getting upgraded when I became a Hybrid so that makes you the first level 2 in the group."

"But you need that upgrade."

"No, the clan will have checks and balances for the two highest people, you and me."

"But you will be beatable by me, I don't want that."

"Ella, it's ok, I'm just waiting till Zap makes me a serum. Besides I'm going to tell the clan I'm a Hybrid today, are you?"

"I guess."

I hold the serum in a glass in my right hand, Ella looking at me as she tries to fall over in the chair she was in a few days ago, her legs and chest bounded to the chair, the chair bounded to the wall. Tears start to fill both of my eyes as well of Ella's, her eyes rotating from brown to sky blue. I full the glass with water and stir the serum around, placing it right in front of Ella as I sit right down beside Ella.

"I'm sorry you have to go through this," I say. "And it wasn't even my own idea. Mine would of been less painful and traumatic instead if losing your memory for five minutes. Mine would of only limited your smell for a minute."

"Will I remember anything," Ella asks as she tries to turn to face me. "Like that there is 45 people in the main clan and around 75% don't belong there."

"Are you lying?"

"No, I checked out the main clan this morning and saw 44 people and 34 of them are level 60 and under."

"After this battle, I promise we will sort that out ok? They are probably hoppers. Anyway you will remember vocabulary, motor skills, basic skills, but not one single person. Oh and you will remember your name."

"Ok," Ella says as she picks up the glass and starts to drink the serum water.
