I walk into my room and sit on the floor, Haley hopping to me and sitting in my lap, River flying onto my head. Haley hops off and hops down the hallway, her gray ears flopping up and down. I sigh and check the time before I see Haley with a tray of hay, carrots, chocolate milk, leaves, fish, and apple slices

My stomach growls as I eat the apple slices, the taste making my taste buds open up and I start to change into my Hybrid form, taking off my bracelet before going into my troop form in which I eat the fish whole. I switch back to Hybrid form and turn into my bunny form, eating the hay and carrots. I finally eat the leaves as I go into my butterfly form then shift back to my Hybrid form.

"I'm full," I say as Haley nods, River flying down.

"That's good, I know you didn't eat lunch today," Haley says, standing on her hind legs, crossing her front paws.

"You also have to go into the portal for EFTC and battle class and after that the dance with Hunter. Speaking of that, where is Hunter?" River asks.

"He's at his house with his parents, trying to see if the plumbers fixed the plumbing," I reply. "Besides, he isn't going to be here until after the-."

"Hey Ella," Hunter says as I look up, his arms crossed. "Ready for team fighting today?"

"No."

"Come on, it'll be fun."

I look down and I hear Hunter sigh, his arms wrapping around me and Haley hopping into my lap. He pats my back and he pulls off his bracelet before becoming a bunny, sitting in my lap. I pet his head and pick him, his whiskers twitching as he looks up at me.

I look at the fire in my room and sigh, the flames dancing, making the bunny in my lap sleepy, it's ears flopped over its eyes. I pick it up and cradle it, her little paws touching her stomach as she sleeps. Slowly, I go into the EFTC room and see Josie along with Lahela and Zap.

"She's passed out," I say.

"Perfect, all we need to do is make her drink a potion in her and see what happens," my brother says. "After that's done, she can keep on sleeping or wake up."

"What's the potion for?"

"To let us see what she might need to work on before battle," Lahela replies.

I nod as I sit down, placing Ella in my lap as she balls up, her ribbon looking so cute along with her bows and snowy white paws. Josie comes up to me with a little cup of pink liquid and opens Ella's mouth, revealing two small front teeth. She pours the liquid in and wipes Ella's mouth.

I look to the computer and see a loading bar appear, the bar moving closer and closer to the end as the potion starts to seep into Ella's system. As it finishes, an alert pops up and lists problems with Ella. I take her out of the room and place her on my bed, my sheet being snuggled by Ella.

"It's ok, I'm here. You can talk to me," I say softly as she wakes up, her long floppy ears falling to the sides of her head, her pretty blue eyes looking up at me. "Everything is ok."

"No it isn't," she says as she looks up at me.

"What's the matter?"

"I just don't want to fight. I will be the main target on my team and I don't feel like going blow after blow until I'm out of energy. It's better just to sit or lay here where you have nice people who do what you want them to do for you. It's just better to relax and be a sleepy cute bunny."

I sigh and run a hand through my hair which is becoming an everyday event. "Just please do it. I'll put you on a team with your friends. It's my duty to make sure everyone is happy and after that, I'll let you hop around and eat some hay and carrots ok?"

She nods and goes into Hybrid form, standing up and walking out of the room with me.

---

I stand with my team, who has Ava and Maddie, and I feel blood rushing to my cheeks, my fists balling up. Hunter, on the next team beside us, looks at me and tries to un-ball my hands but he fails. After a while, my team is called and I feel my blood temperature rise, it spiking higher and higher.

The whistle blows and my vision becomes stained with red, my powers going into hyperdrive. I start to lose my control, something trying to take over my mind along with control of my body. Something else, a foreign force, joins the mix and the red pigmentation fades, my vision returning back to normal though I still can't control myself.

I get hit with a plant net and I growl, pulling it free before I fly up and throw it back, my slightly sharper teeth showing. My control slightly comes back to me as I land, my wings protecting Ava along with Maddie. As the two forces fight, I feel a loss of control and my vision gets stained again.

What was happening?

The whistle blows again and everybody looks around before I feel light-headed, my hands getting cuffed as I growl again, this time tears refusing to come out of my eyes. I feel people pick me up and I start to kick, my tail whipping the air. Someone places a towel over my face and I start to blackout.

---

I place the passed out Ella in her bunny crib and put on lullaby music, stroking Ella's fur softly, her little nose not even twitching. I shake my head and look at her; how could Ninja take over her that quick and be that powerful? Josie comes into the room and stands beside me.

"How's she doing?" she asks as she pets Ella.

"She's still out, that's what happens when she gets angry," I say. "Her bracelet makes her pass out if that happens, it's a defense mechanism to defend from Ninja."

"Who's Ninja?"

I explain Ninja to Josie as she strokes Ella's fur softly, no signs of life in her beside her stomach going up and down. I see Ella twitch and ball up, snuggling Josie's hand as she balls up around it. Josie rubs her stomach as I finish explaining Ninja and her short temper to her.

"So it's just her getting angry?" Josie asks.

"Truthfully, it's just herself. It's not some monster, it's her dragon instincts kicking in," I reply as Ella opens her eyes, her eyes full of water.

I pick her up and cradle her as she starts to cry, her roller coaster emotions shedding light. I hold her close as she nestles me, her cries being muffled by my shirt along with her guilt. She starts to talk gibberish and kicks, kicking my stomach weakly before I stroke her again.

"Shh, just calm down, it's not your fault. Just listen to the lullabies and calm down," I say, rocking Ella back and forth. "It's ok, no need to worry about anything. Haley and River are ok, I'm ok, everyone's ok. You did no harm. Shh."

I sit down on my bed and let Ella go, her hopping off of my lap and burrowing under my blankets, her ears and tail out of the blanket. Josie sits beside me and pulls Ella out of the blanket, placing her on the floor on top of the blanket. Ella looks down and goes into her Hybrid form.

I stand up and hug her, wiping her tears off before she places her head on my shoulder like last night. She folds her wings in and I pat her back, her hair falling perfectly down her back. She stops crying and pulls away from me, her eyes still holding a glass-like cover over them.

"I'm sorry," she says, her voice slightly higher pitched.

"It's ok," I reply. "I understand. You ready for the dance tonight?"

Ella nods. "But you have to stay away from me during it."

"Ok."
