[Chapter 20] The Cruel Answers

"Yea, but she wasn't the person that brought me Storybrooke."

"But, what if she was the reason behind it all."

"You said she promised to give me a good life. My life hasn't been all that swell. Looks like Melody didn't keep her promise. But, oh wait, she's dead."

"Emma, for once, can you stop thinking about what you know and start putting things into perspective. Sure you didn't have a great life, but you kept on moving. You didn't have the things you wanted, but you had the things you needed. And maybe, Melody couldn't stop some bad things from happening because she was busy enjoying her life. The life she had with Regina."

"How can you know for sure that she's the real deal?"

"I don't know. I just believe it's true."

She sighs and looks down at the table.

"Look, right now finding out who Melody isn't important. What is important is that we bring Henry back to the loving boy he was. If we want him to come out of his cave and into his normal self, I think it's best that we find the person he trusts the most."

"Haven't you been paying attention; Henry doesn't even want to see us."

"I'm not talking about either one of us."

"No. We can't do that. We don't even know where she is."

"It doesn't matter. We have to bring Melody here if it's the last thing we do."

For a few moments, it was quiet between the three (excluding Neal) of us. Emma and David look at each other before turning to face me.

"Fine. We have to bring Henry's sister back," Emma states.

~3rd Person POV~

While the Charmings work up their plan, Henry was still inside of the library, in which he locked himself inside of. For the past few days, Henry has lived in complete isolation (well, excluding the times he's gone out to retrieve some food from Granny's). He's lived the life that Melody must've been living for the past 15 years. During that time, Henry has tried on working tirelessly on 'Operation Gorilla'.

He's been going through the new storybook front and back, trying to gather as much as he could get. He's also been skimming through some of the evidence he managed to steal from the Police Station. He still believes that someone is still out to finish some business they had back in the Forbidden Jungle. Someone was out to get their revenge on Tarza. It didn't matter if everyone thinks Melody was the villain behind it all; so far, he knows that one of Melody's enemies is out there. Henry was able to get a brief description on Clayton, and everything Melody has said about him is true. Clayton was a poacher out to take the gorilla troop.

But, the most important thing Henry was looking for was any type of evidence that Melody wasn't Sabor, or at least, to find out that Sabor was still out there. But, the storybook doesn't provide much help. Sabor's story ends right when Tarza kills her.

Even though Henry believes he's the only one working on this, he doesn't know that his sister has been doing the exact same thing.

Melody has been scouring the woods trying to find the exact claw marks Emma found a few days before. Even though Melody was currently holding onto the picture her brother gave her, she still needed to find the original mark. A picture wasn't good enough for her; she needed to view the exact markings herself. For that past hour, she has been going back and forth in looking at the photograph and at her surroundings. Even if she knew the forest like the back of her hand, finding a simple claw mark is like finding a needle in a haystack; it would prove to be a daunting task. But, she refused to give up. If Sabor was somehow still alive, Melody knew what kind of havoc she would do onto the town. She couldn't let what happened in the Forbidden Jungle happen in Storybrooke. She couldn't let Sabor get her hands on innocent souls.
