Chapter IX. Fashion Event

Gwen's POV

Natutuwa akong asarin si Francine, wala kasi siyang kalaban laban na sagutin ako o awayin ako. Akala niya galit ako sakanya pero natatawa akong mag-isa everytime she's not looking. Ilang oras na rin ang lumipas and we need to prepare for the fashion show event kaya tinawagan ko si Vine para samahan akong manuod, marami kasing mga investors and dadalo mamayang 7pm para sa event.

Mamaya-maya pa man ay dumating na si Vine, ang mga panel or critics at nakahanda na ang mga models and ang ultimate endorser na paborito kong si Francine.

Unang rumampa si Francine sa entablado, nakasuot siya ng black na tank top with brown low-waist jeans designed by Mr. Lacson, she looks so stunning and I keep on smiling cause she's doing great. Napansin siguro ni Vine ang sobrang pagtitig ko kay France pero tingin ko wala siyang pakialam sakin mukhang busy siyang nakikikipagusap sa phone.

Vine's P.O.V.

Busy na busy ang lahat sa fashion show para sa BlueFront Runway 2013 pero kanina ko pang napapansin ang malagkit na pagtingin ni Gwen sa isang baguhang model ng company. Naiinis ako sa kanya dahil imbes kausapin niya ako eh puro Francine ang bukambibig at tila tuwang tuwa pa siya. Ughhh, I want her full attention but instead of being jealous about that Francine, I'd rather talk to my ex-girlfriend over the phone, yes I have an ex girlfriend at siya yung tinutukoy ko nun kay Gwen a couple of months ago sa New York, she' s one of the reason why i decided to migrate here sa Philippines, para makapagmove-on, but I'm fine, yun nga lang kay Gwen ako nahulog, I'm stucked in the friendzone. What should I do?

Matapos ang event ay umuwi na kami ni Gwen, sira ang sasakyan ko kaya hinatid niya ko. Lumapit siya sakinna tila muntik na kami magyakapan, closer and closer to me. I can hardly breathe so I catch my breath, I'm nervous...is she going to kiss me?

"Vine...ayan okay na yung seatbelt mo, i fastened it." sabi ni Gwen sabay start ng engine.

Napangiti ako bigla akala ko hahalikan niya ko eh, erase erase erase, msyado akong assuming haha.

"Okay thanks." patay malisya ko.

Hinatid niya ko sa bahay ko sa Makati and after that habang papalakad ako sa front door eh I was surprised when I saw mom and dad waiting for me.

"Vine..." sabay yakap nina mom then dad..

"Mom, Dad...napadalaw po kayo? Galing po ako ng event.I missed you both." I said to them

"May paguusapan kasi tayong importante our lovely daughter." sabi ni mom.

"Ano po yun mom?" I asked curiously.

"Kinausap kame kagabi ni Nathan, I think you need to marry him..." dad said.

"What?? you gotta be kidding me..we're not even committed.." I objected.

"Vine! buong buhay namin, lahat ng gusto mo binibigay namin ng dad mo, bakit di mo kami kayang pagbigyan ngayon, Nathan is a good guy, and he's one of the Martins at pag nagpakasal kayo eh there are greater opportunities for the growth of the Bluefront corporation." mom said angrily.

"Mom I'm old enough to decide for  myself, I just don't really love him." I told them.

"If you won't listen to us then forget that you are part of this family,we'll give you three more days to decide for this, yes you're in the right age, but this is also for you, for your bright future." dad explained.

After the argument, I just can't believe that arranged marriage is still existing nowadays. Sa pinsan pa ng taong mahal ko. I just can't believe that this is happening. I just wanna cry all night. I don't like Nathan. I love Gwen so much. :'(
