"I'm so uncomfortable in this wheelchair mother, when we land in Scotland I'm going to sleep for two days straight!" April complained.

Mrs. Garfield did not respond, her thoughts were else where. It was a cold winter night but she felt warm laying in the Wizards strong and possesive arms. "Come with me Marilyn, I can love you like no other." He had told her in his husky Scottish accent.

"I can't, I have a husband and he will not be too happy if I disappear, and he will hunt us down and kill us!" She told him tearfully.

The wizard tightened his hold on her, "He won't do a damn thing! You are mine Marilyn and I shall take you with me back to my world!"

"Stop it! I will not risk anything happening to you, it is for the best that you return to your world and I stay in mine!"!

"Nay! You are my soulmate Marlyn and I can not live without you, I love you!" He told her hoarsely before his sculpted lips crashed over hers. Marlyn clung to him as if her life depended on it.

Deep in her heart she knew that it would be the last time she would be in his arms. Her husband who had suspected that she was seeing him had already threatened that he would kill her soulmate if she were to see him again, and not wanting to risk his life, she lied through her teeth to save him from death.

"I do not love you, I am in love with my husband, and I can't see you again it would be the wrong thing to do because it is my husband that I want and need." She lied, and held back the tears that threatened to spill.

The warrior stiffened and pulled back his head to look in her eyes. Marlyn turned her heart to stone and stared back coldly at him. Her heart was twisting with pain, but she had to stay strong and collective. She knew her husband well and he would not hesitate to carry out his threat, and if anything were to happen to her soulmate, she would die from grief.

"You are not doing a good job hiding your love for me Marilyn, you think I don't know that my name is imprinted in your heart? You think I'm a fool not to recognize my one true love?" He told her, "I am not leaving without you, go home and get your things, I will come to collect you tomorrow night when the clock strikes twelve.

A cold shiver ran up and down Marlyn's spine, that was almost twenty three years ago, and not a day has gone by that she didn't remember the crazy look in her husband's eyes when she told him that she wanted a divorce.

"I will never let you go Marilyn!" He had told her angrily, "you swore to me in church and before God until death do us part, if you leave me now I will hunt the both of you down and I shall kill him before your very eyes, to this I swear!"

Fear coursed through Marilyn's entire body, and her heart beat wildly against her chest. Her husband was one of the ring leaders in the mafia, he was a powerful man, and she knew at that moment what she needed to do. She had to protect her baby that was growing inside her stomach, and she would sacrifice her happiness to ensure its safety. If her husband ever found out that she carried her lover's babe in her womb, he would destroy her pregnancy out of revenge, and then kill her lover before he turned the gun on her.

Ignoring the pain in her heart, Marilyn knew that in order to save her baby and her soulmate, she would have to play her role to perfection. "There is no need to get upset, you are right, I am your wife till death do us part. Let's leave this place and go to California, and never look back, let's do it now and I promise you that I will never leave you again!"

Her husband could hear the desperation in his wife's voice, and he knew that she was struggling with her decision. He has many opportunities in California, the Boss had offered him a leadership job there and he was going to take it. Leaving now would ensure that the wizard would not find him when he returns at midnight.

His lips curved into a smile, the wizard had no clue he had a brother. Their mother was a whore who had slept with many, and when she gave birth to both her children she threw them In a dark alley by the gutters. He was only two years old at the time when his baby brother was born, but he will never forget that day when they were found by the Druids and it was determined that only the wizard would be taken back to Scotland because he had special gifts and talents and they brought him to an orphanage where he was left all alone with a bunch of strangers.

The rivulet of tears that he had spilled as he watched the Druids walk away with the small bundle of joy, leaving him behind as if he did not matter. He had heard their plans on the drive to the orphanage. The plans were engraved into his heart all this time and  he vowed that one day he would take revenge on his brother. When the time was right, he was going to kill them all for throwing him away, but in order to do that he would have to die in this lifetime and go back in time and get reborned in an unsuspecting womb so not to raise suspicioun.

He took his pregnant wife that day to California and they made a life there. Placing magic over his family so no one will ever find them, for he too was gifted with powers, and decided to use those powers to avenge himself.

"Mother how much longer before we land?" April asked, pulling Marilyn out of her daydream.

"I think at least two more hours," Marilyn told her daughter, as anxiety settled in her stomach.

She was going to take her daughter to the place where the Emerald Tablet described as a sacred place that could transport them back in time. She remembered all the symbols that she was to write on the stones to make them magical.

Marilyn was a smart woman, she had researched through the years and had done her homework well. The writings in the ancient books, which most would say they were nothing but myths, and tales, revealed many secrets.

Marilyn's mind traveled back to a few months ago when she had taken a job as a volunteer at the huge library in downtown Bakersfeild, because one day she surfed the Internet and found information about Druids.

The website explained about the Emerald Tablets and how the Druids believe the Tablets are real and sacred books. They claim that the Tablets hold information on how to unlock the universal secrets, and that the McCane clan had the rare blood line in their veins that could open the Book of All That Is, one of the most important editions from the Emerald Tablets.

The website went on to explain that the wizard Gregor McCane held the rare bloodline, and his offspring would carry the DNA needed to unlock the secrets.

Marilyn knew that her daughter was the carrier of the rare bloodline, she believed that April was the only one in the world that carried the DNA to unlock the secrets of the universe, because she was Gregor's first born.

Looking around the airplane, Marilyn checked to see if anyone looked suspicious. The last two months she had noticed that someone was following them and she was paranoid.

In two days April will turn twenty two years old and she will gain her powers. The book also described her daughters soulmate. Edward McCalister was his name and he will be her protector from the bad people who want to murder her.

Marilyn had read the book carefully, her daughter April is really Julia, wife to Edward McCalister, reborn to this world to open the book and reveal all that is.

Turning her head slightly to the right, Marilyn watched her daughter sleep, and a single tear glided down her face. She too had to be reborn to give birth to April. She was her mother eight hundred years ago and she is her mother now too.

Taking a deep breath of inhalation, she remembered when she gave birth to Kyra and Julia. Gregor was her lover then too, but she passed the babes on as another's to protect their identity. Everyone knew that Gregor's children would carry the royal blood line and the babes were a target even before they were born. Even now she knew that they were hunted.

The dark ones want them dead before April opens the Emerald Tablet. As soon as the plane lands in Scotland, she decided she was going to tell April everything. Her daughter needed to know who she really was before it was too late.
