[Chapter 1] Normal for Once?

"So, what is all that fuss in there?" Killian asks.

"My parents and Regina want to throw a 'Ball' for Henry for his birthday."

"And, he agreed to it?"

"Yep."

"Ah, so now we're going to be attending another Ball together."

"Are you asking me to be your date to the Ball?" I smirk.

"Of course, Love. I wouldn't ask any other woman around here."

"Then, I would gladly attend the ball with you," I say, trying my best to mimic a proper English accent. "But, don't be surprised if my mom signs us up to be in the planning committee. With things like this, you know festivities and all, she'll want to go above and beyond for Henry. I don't think she's planned a Ball in forever."

"We're just going to have to wait and see."

"Anyways, we should head back towards the station."

He nods in agreement and we both make the journey towards the Sheriff Station to head back to work.

~Robin Hood's POV~

"Come on; hurry, Papa."

"Slow down, Roland. You don't need to get lost in these woods," I yell over to my son, who was a mere couple yards ahead of me.

At the moment, we're traveling through the forest in order to find my Merry Men. It's been quite a while since I've last seen my friends, and Roland has missed his 'family'. We were nearing the campground, and Roland couldn't contain his excitement so he made a mad dash towards the campground. Fortunately, I still had sights on him. After a few moments of walking through the trail (and chasing after my boy), I could see the outlines of a couple of tents and smoke near-by.

"Robin!!" I hear one of the men speak up in delight.

"Little John!!" I smile. "It's good to see you all."

"It's been a while. Why haven't you come back to us after your last adventure?"

"Roland and I have been... staying with Regina for the time being."

"Ah, I see." Then, he felt a tug and John looks down to see Roland looking up at him. He smiles and ruffles up Roland's mop of hair. "It's very good to finally see you too." He kneels down so he could be closer to Roland's height. "As a fellow Merry Men, we still need to teach you how to wield a bow and arrow."

"And, that is something that I will teach him soon," I respond.

"Of course. He must learn from the best." With that, John pushes himself up from the ground.

"Roland, why don't you go play around? Just don't go too far," I suggest.

"Okay, Papa," he answers. With that, he runs off in the other direction.

"So," John speaks up, "What made you decide to visit us?"

"I just wanted to see some familiar faces," I respond. "Especially in this time of peace, I've had some spare time to do as I please, which is rare."

"At least everything is right in the world at the moment. You know times like these are hard to come by; especially in our line of work. Something else is bound to happen eventually."
