1 hour later.

The Foxhole is further shown to be quite a sanctuary among those who seek a respite from the roughest views of the war by the Zlocu. Under the watchful eye of Terry and her patrol, the nurturing guidance of the Romano family, and a few others, the villagers have no reason to be afraid of anything that can cross their path aside from the occasional gangs in some districts of it. Certainly, if such figures may operate even more openly than ever, then perhaps most people may even have livelier lives than they have in such times.

But even with such personalities, only a few surprises can remain for everyone to witness at some point.

Back at the house of the Romanos, Russ is packing four red cans in a cardboard box, each placed in a cubic manner while he's whistling a certain tune. After placing the fourth one inside, he then grabs a sheet of paper and a black pen next to it who then writes down something in it. It looks a bit cursive, but one can decipher the words from it, which are: "From Russ, to Sakamoto-sensei". He then grabs a blue stapler on the same table with the pen and staples the paper right in the upper part of the box.

With it, he finishes whistling the tune and stands up to check on the box, smiling widely as he chuckles for a bit.

"Guess that will settle it... Hey, Logan, can you come here for a moment please?" Russ says as he turns to the left side of the room, one leading upstairs.

"Yeah, I'm coming," Logan replies as the sound of footsteps with the creaking wood is heard from the upper part, each step being as soft as they can be due to the material that holds most of the house in the area. After a few seconds of walking, Logan descends from the stairs as he turns to his right in Russ' direction. The hair looks a bit soaked and facing downward, yet Logan keeps a slight smile on his face as he reaches Russ, still standing with the box below him.

"There you are. How was the bath?" Russ asks. Logan chuckles a bit while caressing his hair and glancing away for a bit.

"Could have been better with warmer water, but I'll take what I have," Logan replies as he glances back at Russ who still chuckles a bit. "So what's up?"

"I have a small favor for you, friend. This box has four cans of green beans for the elder in this lovely town, and while I usually take it to him, I believe it would be your turn today, at least so you can get to know him better," Russ says.

"The elder? What's so special about him?"

"Oh, he's quite a personality for the townsfolk. He's both a secluded man yet can express himself in the most joyous ways ever known to man once he bothers to go out. I think you'll like how the children interact with a great elder like him." Logan nods steadily while glancing down a the box.

"That sounds pretty sweet, actually... But, why so secluded even though he loves interacting with people?" Russ sighs for a bit.

"It's... kinda complicated to explain but, let's say he has seen a lot in life, probably too much, if you catch my gist." For that, Logan nods steadily for a bit, almost like he's understanding what he means.

"Damn... But, wouldn't there be a risk if I come by myself?"

"Oh, don't worry about too much, the only catch is that you should be careful of him at certain times."

"How so?"

"You'll see, don't want to ruin the surprise after all."

"I... I just want to be sure of it, because I don't want anything so..." Logan stammers a bit, almost as if the word he wants to spell out doesn't want to come out of his mouth. Just as this occurs, Russ merely pats Logan's shoulder and presses it steadily.
