"Ellise and Alexa, may gusto ba kayo sabihin before blowing the cake?" agad akong napatingin kay Blue habang may suot itong kulay asul na party hat.
"Aah.." pag-aalinlangan pero nangingiti niya ring sabi and took the mic.
"Baka maiyak ako, pag ako ang nagthankyou sa kanila" bulong ko rito and held her waist.
Agad na tumikhim naman siya and gaze on the people around us bago nilapit ang mic sa bibig niya. "I just want to thank all the people who came here and celebrated this day with us. Muli salamat po" medyo nahihiya niyang sabi. She then took a deep breath as she look at the table where our parents and his grandpa are. "Popsy and Papa... i'm sorry if I gave nothing but trouble this past years pero kahit gano'n, you let me have and love this woman beside me. For that, I'll forever be grateful" she stopped for a moment, trying to hold back her tears from falling pero natawa rin when Lilac screamed.
"Marry her already!"
The room filled with laughter and cheers from every table kaya pati kami ay natawa and kinikilig at the same but that stopped when Blue get the attention of my parents to thank them too and promised to take care of me.
"I love you, Blue" naluluha kong sabi habang hawak ang cake namin.
We both blew the candles for our first anniversary and sealed our promises to each other with a kiss.
It's our anniversary and double celebration na rin since their basketball team won the championship last month. Hindi lang namin nacelebrate agad dahil naging busy kami parehas.
"What are you thinking love?" I asked while sitting in the front porch of their luxurious villa by the beach.
"Wala naman. I just can't believe we would have this party for our day"
"Silly. Syempre gusto ko special 'tong day natin. Buti your dad initiated to have this party. Akala ko nga lang simple get to together lang ng fam natin. I didn't know Laurels and his other kumpare would be here as well"
"That's why you shouldn't believe that old man. He's a sucker for parties" we both chuckled at what she said. Tama nga rin naman dahil gano'n rin ang ginawa nito sa birthday niya.
Makailang saglit lang ay nagkakayayaan kami ni Blue magswimming sa kanilang infinity pool. Animo'y nakadugtong ito sa dagat kapag tiningnan. Kung iisipin ay para kaming nasa Bali dito sa resort nila. Ang pagkakaalam ko'y ang mga Laurel ang nagdesign nito. They seem to be competitors in industry but truth is investors ang mga Williams sa ilang projects ng mga Laurel.
"Who's that man, Blue?" I asked when I've seen a familiar yet unknown person na kasama ng dad ni Blue.
"That's Architect Ali, James' dad"
"Ah kaya pala magkamukha sila" tukoy ko sa dad ng new friend ni Blue. I met James once at mabait ito.
"Alangan kayo ang magkamukha love" asar nito sa 'kin.
"Sige Blue, ipagpatuloy mo 'yan nang walkoutan kita dito" pananakot ko pa pero mukhang di naman nag-effect dahil panay pa rin ang pagtawa nito. Parang naiimagine niya na kamukha ko talaga ang dad ni James.
Mukhang seryoso ang usapan ng dad nila pareho dahil lumabas pa ang mga ito sa villa. Hindi tuloy ako makalambing kay Blue sa pool dahil baka maistorbo sila.
"Love, ang sexy mo talaga" panlalandi niya pa't di nakuntento at hinapit ang bewang ko kahit na nga ba nand'yan ang dad niya't friend nito.
"Tumigil ka nga, nakailan ka na before the party started" pabulong na saway ko rito pero tinawanan lang ako.
