Your Pov:

The next morning, you woke up with Lizzie still wrapped around. Just like how it used to be. You looked at her as she slept peacefully, her blonde hair glimmering under the strong gaze of the sun. She looked so beautiful.

You laid there for just a few minutes, admiring her; enjoying the pleasant scene. "Mhm..good morning," She greeted, eyes still closed.

"Good morning indeed. This is new" A smile made its way to her lips, eyes fluttering open. "We're changing" She responded, moving out of your arms to stretch and yawn.

"What time are you leaving?" You asked, putting on your slippers and heading to the bathroom whilst she started making the bed.

"I'm not. I-" She paused, making you peak your head from the bathroom door, a brush in your mouth and an eyebrow raised. She turned to you, cheeks flushing before she cleared her throat. "I cleared both of our schedules..if that's okay. I just thought that we could maybe spend a day together." She turned away, obviously embarrassed.

A fluttery feeling filled your chest, making your way to her. You wrapped your arms around her waist in a back hug. "Thanmk yewn" She chuckled, turning to you, making your faces centimeters apart.

"What was that? Couldn't quite catch that, baby" You took the brush out of your mouth, "I said, thank you. I'd really like that" She smiled at you and it warmed your heart. Seeing her like this after last night, after all the nights, it just felt right. Her being here with you, in your home—well Lizzie is your home—in your room, everywhere; it just felt right.

"You know something else you might like?" She asked, a mischievous tone with her words. You raised an eyebrow, making her smirk bigger. She leaned closer to you, making your heart beat faster, whispering,

"You inviting me to go shower with you and me..well, you know what comes next..it'll definitely be one of us" She winked. Your cheeks flushed at her suggestion, a sudden intake of breath, you couldn't mutter anything out. You just followed her lead as she walked to the bathroom.

Eventually, when the two of you actually finished showering, Lizzie headed down to cook some breakfast while you, on the other hand, stayed up to check emails and call in with Aleisha.

"So she's fine?" She asked, you could hear the doubt in her words making you chuckle.

"She's fine. I'm fine. We're both fine. We're gonna work through this. Us. Together" You couldn't stop yourself from grinning as you said those words.

"That's good. I think y'all should really talk that shi out. No more running to different cities and me nearly calling the cops" You laughed at her statement, realizing how lucky you were to have a friend like Aleisha.

"Yeah, definitely no more of that. Anyway I just called in to make sure everything's fine. Everything is, right?" There was a knock on the door.

"Breakfast is ready" Lizzie whispered while Aleisha spoke "Yeah everything's fine, we're mostly.." Her voice drifted off as you put the phone away from your ear and covered the speaker, responding.

"I'll go down. Jus' need to finish this call" Lizzie nodded with a smile. You put the phone back to your ear and heard Aleisha calling for you.

"Hey, hey, sorry. The wife calls" Aleisha laughed at your statement. "Well, it looks like the wife needs you now. You sure you'll be fine?"

"I'm sure. Don't worry too much, will ya?" You heard her chuckle. "Alright, stay safe. I'm one call away. Peace out" You responded with a bye before she ended the call. Silly Leisha
