Your Pov:

A few days had passed and you were growing anxious. Has Lizzie forgotten you already? or was she simply too busy to think about you? You sighed, shaking your head repeatedly. You were currently working in the coffee shop, taking orders and serving from time to time.

Lizzie has been in your mind ever since she told you she found you interesting and wanted to hang out with you. Also, ever since then, you haven't heard from her. Amazing, right?

"Hey, you good?" You turned to her and nodded. "You seem out of it" A small smile formed on your lips; you nodded and sighed "Just a little somethin' in my mind" She nodded and replied, "Well, don't let it affect your work"

You decided it was best for you to just serve rather than taking orders. Your gloomy mood might affect the customers. "Let's switch" You said, grabbing an apron and tying it around your waist. She nodded and left to go to the front.

Narrator's Pov:

The moment she left to go serve orders, the bell dinged. She looked around frantically, in search of somebody. She took a deep breath, fixing her composure.

"Hi, excuse me, can I-" She paused for a second, only realising now she doesn't know your name. "How can I help you?" She chuckled nervously, scratching her head. "Uhm- I'm looking for a girl, she works here. I'm not sure of her name"

"Can you describe her?" The lady asked, while writing a name in a cup. "A bit tall, brown eyes, a darker shade of brown hair. Absolutely stunning" The girl laughed "Ma'am, I'm not sure who you're referring to." Frustration burdened her face, sighing deeply before nodding.

She was about to walk away when the lady spoke again, "Does she serve or take orders?" She turned around and smiled "She takes orders" The lady pondered for a bit, "She should be serving right now, try looking around" She nodded and thanked the lady.

Your Pov:

Serving customers was a lot harder than it looks, especially if you're dealing with rude customers. Sometimes you just wanna punch them, but you can't, unless you're ready to lose your job. You sighed, grabbing another dish. You walked out and went to find the table.

"Hi!" You heard from behind you, you didn't think much of it and proceeded to walk. "Are you ignoring me now?" Realizing the voice sounded familiar, you turned to see if it was talking to you. To your surprise, she was standing right in front of you.

"Lizzie..." You said, voice above whisper. "Hi! I've been looking for you" She looked at the tray and back at you. You looked at it and said, "I- I'm just gonna-" She chuckled. "Yeah, sure."

You went to the table and smiled. Usually, you'd have a little saying when serving but, you were too caught up in your own mind to think about it. You walked over to the counter and said, "I'll use my break now" She nodded, you walked away. You followed her to a table.

Now sitting, she smiled at you "I'm sorry I haven't texted you yet, my schedule is hectic. Photoshoot here, interview there," She sighed, "I haven't had the time yet" You nodded understandingly.

"It's okay, I totally understand" Her smile was big, her eyes glowing with excitement. "I was wondering, if you have any free time this week or maybe next week?...So, you know, we could hang out" She nervously smiled at you, fingers fidgeting on her lap.

"Well, I am free on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Any time in those days. For next week, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. You?" She pulled out her phone, looking for her schedule.

"Wednesday and Saturday this week" She put it down on the table and you nodded at her. "So wednesday?" You suggested "Wednesday it is. What time?"

"Any time works for me" She quirked her lips, thinking about it. "How about a brunch?" You responded with a nod. "Works out for me!" She perked cheerfully. How adorable.

"Wednesday, brunch! I'll see you there" She stood, grabbing her bag. You looked up at her, stunned. "Did you really go all the way here just to ask me about that?" You asked with a slight laugh.

She turned around and grinned, "Well, yes, also I wanted to apologize. I didn't realize how busy I was this week." Amused, you laughed at her.

"You could've just texted me" You reasoned, making her pout a little. How cute.

"It'll be meaningless from just a text. Saying it in person adds more depth to it..plus I wanted to see you." A hint of pink crept up to your cheeks, making you look away from her. Jeez.

"O-kay, I'll keep that in mind" You chuckled shyly. "You know what, I'm actually free for the rest of the afternoon, so I, will stay" You looked at her with a surprised look and she giggled at you.

"Go back to work. I'll watch you like a creep" You couldn't contain the laugh her words brought you, making her let out a few laughs herself. "Go back to work before you get fired" She said, in between laughs. You nodded and ventured to the counter whilst still holding your stomach. Too much laughing really causes your stomach to hurt. You continued on with your shift with Lizzie staring at you—she was literally burring holes on your back—just like she said.

"Do you need a ride home?" She offered "I'm good, I'm used to walking home." She looked at you warily, obviously not convinced by your answer.

"You may be used to walking home but, are you used to walking home this late?" You smiled at her and replied, "Yes, I'll be fine. You should go too. Don't you need to get your beauty sleep?" She shook her head and said, "Get in, I don't feel comfortable about letting you walk at this time. And beauty sleeps are full of bs."

"I believe I won't be able to convince you so I'll just agree with you" You chirped. It was obvious she wouldn't let you go no matter what excuse you used.

"There you go" She reached for the door, opening it for you. Halfway through the drive, she spoke, "Do you listen to music?" You turned to her and tilted your head slightly.

"Yeah, I'm in love with music. They're the only thing keeping me from crumbling apart." Her eyebrow raised but kept her eyes on the road.

"Who's your favourite singer?" You pondered for a moment, "Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Halsey, Charlie Puth," You paused thinking about it for a few more seconds.

"Oh! Zendaya, Hailee Steinfield, and....Adele!" Your childlike attitude has her laughing. "What about you?" You questioned.

"I'm really interested in house music but, anything works for me." Nodding, you questioned. "Do you have a favourite song?" She thought about it, then shook her head. "They all sound the same to me," She said with a laugh. "And somehow you're in a relationship with a singer" She looked at you with a shocked expression, making you burst out laughing again.

Once the laughing died down, you asked, "So, what do you do when you're not working or spending time with your boyfriend?"

"I exercise, I do yoga and sometimes, I run" You rolled your eyes and laughed. "Well that's a much more productive lifestyle" She laughed at your response. "What about you?"

"Well, I watch movies, write stories, sometimes songs, but I also like to paint or draw. Ooh! I also like to bake and watch movies, I think I said that already" She seemed surprised.

"Well that's a very creative lifestyle" She repeated your earlier use of words. "And...we're here." You looked outside, only noticing now that you've finally made it home. "Wow, I didn't realize we were here already" You chuckled.

"I know, me too. I'll see you on Wednesday!" You opened the car door and stepped out. "I'll see you too! Drive safe." She smiled at you. "Bye! Goodnight!" She waved

"Goodnight! Bye!" You walked in with a big smile on your face as the previous events replayed on your mind.
