Goodbye Doesn't Mean Forgetting: Part 32

Start from the beginning

"Oh c'mon JJ, you know that's not true"

"It's that or you're having an affair"

It angered me, how dare he accuse me of something like that. My face getting warmer and turning red with how angry I was.

"How could you even accuse me of something like that?"

"Well it's true isn't it"

Our voices were getting louder and louder, in the end we ended up shouting at each other.

"HOW COULD YOU SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT?"

"I WANT A DIVORCE"

"JJ, PLEASE" I said,  tears in my eyes.

"JUST TELL ME WHO IT IS?"

"HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE SOMETHING ELSE?"

"LIKE WHAT, HMM, HAVING AN AFFAIR WITH ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS, OH ARE WE GETTING MORE PERSONAL NOW?"

"I'M PREGNANT JJ!" I screamed.

The room went silent, he looked at me, mouth wide open with shock. The tears had already started running down my face.

"What?" He said, softly.

"I'm...p...r..pregnant" I said, the tears making me stammer.

The anger on his face turned into a clear smile.

"Oh baby, I...I'm sorry...I" He said, putting his arms around me, trying to stop me crying.

"You weren't to know JJ"

"How many weeks"

"3 months JJ"

"The wedding?"

I nodded my head as he hugged me tightly.

"I'm not getting rid of it JJ" I said

"Who said I wanted you to get rid of it?"

"Huh?"

"I never wanted you to get rid of it..." He stood up, offering his hand out to me and helping me up.

My tears turned into the biggest smile on my face, matching the smile on his.

"We're going to be parents JJ" I smiled, clutching my stomach.

He ran towards me, picking me up and spinning me around, a little tear of joy running down his face. He rang up the hospital straight away, booking me in for my scan. JJ took me straight up to bed, lifting up my shirt and putting his ear to my tummy.

"Hey daddy" I said, in a little high pitched voice.

He started to giggle and hugged me tightly. We sat and discussed baby names.

Sitting in the hospital maternity ward was an experience. I saw all of the mothers walking around with their children, either on the ground or in their tummys.

"Megan Hamblett, the doctor will see you now"

JJ and I stood up, hand in hand, we walked into the doctors room and I lay on the bed. The doctor reassured me that everything would be ok and began to rub the jelly on my belly It was cold and it tickled. As I turned my head to look to the screen, my hand tightly gripped in JJ's,  I saw my little baby. All snuggled up in my womb. It looked so peaceful.

"There's my little boy..." JJ started.

I coughed and looked at him.

"Or girl..." he added.

The doctor printed off the images and we left the hospital, I held my tummy in my hands. My little baby was real. I had another 6 months of carrying them around. We then went to tell our family and friends, all of them ecstatic and so happy. No one could wait for the arrival of the new member of the family.
