"You home?"
"No I'm in Disneyland" I replied sarcastically.
"Oh shush, go put your onsie on and get in here"
"I'll hurry" I said, running up the stairs.
I slammed the bedroom door behind me, shoved the package in my underwear drawer and changed into my onsie. There was no way I could do this now. Returning downstairs into JJ's cuddles, we stayed under the blankets, watching movies all day.
The next morning was when the worst of it started, the sickness. I woke up every hour, throwing up into the toilet. I hung my head over the bowl, feeling as rough as anything. There was a knock on the door.
"Are you ok in there baby?" He asked.
"Fine, Fine" I replied, opening the door and running into our room to pack some of the small things that I knew JJ would forget. He returned from the bathroom putting his arms around me.
"You were being sick in there weren't you"
"N..no..."
"Yes you were, want me to stay here?"
"You've got a tour to go do, thousands of fans waiting to see you, don't ruin this now JJ. Ignore me, I'm just coming down with a little stomach bug"
He pulled me closer, the smell of his aftershave making me want to be sick again. I ran out of the room and straight into the bathroom, throwing up again. He ran after me, rubbing my back.
"You're really not ok are you?"
"I'll be fine JJ, it was the smell of that aftershave, it stinks"
"That's the one you got me for Christmas baby, you loved it"
"Wait what?"
"You got me it for Christmas...remember?"
Things were becoming more and more obvious minute by minute. I didn't know what to do. I just smiled at JJ. By the afternoon, when it was time for him to leave, the sickness had gone. The coach pulled up outside the house, the driver taking JJ's luggage and the other boys faces pressed up against the window pulling funny faces.
"I'll see you in a month then" I said with a little giggle.
"I don't want to go, I'm gonna miss you"
"I'm gonna miss you too, come here" I said, putting my arms around him.
He kissed me gently, waved me one last goodbye, stepped on the bus and it started to drive away. Him waving in the window as it turned the corner.
I had gotten used to being on my own in the house, it wasn't that bad. I snuggled down with a box of malteasers. I had become so obsessed with them recently, going through bags and bags each day. I was about to turn the television when my phone started to ring. I looked to see Ella's photo lit up on my phone.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Meg, Meg please can I come over, I don't like it here on my own"
"Oh Ella, you know you can come over anytime"
"Can I stay the night?"
"Yes, go on then" I said giggling.
The phone was put straight down and within 15 minutes of that phone call, Ella had joined me on the sofa. We were snuggled up underneath the blankets, getting ready to watch as many chick flicks as we could. Then I remembered my package. JJ had been looking through the drawers before, what if he had found it, what if he knew.
