Goodbye Doesn't Mean Forgetting: Part 28

Start from the beginning

"None of us do" I added, bending down next to JJ.

"I won't ever come back her though will I?"

JJ and I both looked at each other and laughed. We knew that she would come back again if we had anything to do with it.

"Of course you'll be coming back here again you numpty" JJ said, pulling Otea's hat over her eyes.

She started to giggle, wiped away the tears from her eyes. Grabbing mine and JJ's hands, we walked out of the park together. We took one last look at the shining castle, the sky clear with stars shining and we said one last goodbye.

On our way back to the hotel, we spotted an ice skating rink packed with people skating around attempting tricks and then falling flat on their bums. We walked over and went to watch them, laughing when people tried to show off my doing a spin and then ended up going too fast and falling.

"JJ! JJ! JJ can we go on the ice..pleaaasssee" Otea said, tugging at JJ's coat.

JJ looked at me and tilted his head towards the ice as if to ask me would I take Otea ice skating with him. I nodded and we looked at his parents to see if it would be ok. They looked at each other and laughed.

"Go on then" JJ's mum laughed.

"We'll be heading back to the hotel though, if that's ok?"

"Yeah that's fine dad" JJ said.

"Can you find your way back?"

"Of course, right come on Otea"

We held her hand and took her into the little cabin next to the rink which is where we would get out ice skates. We checked in, got out ice skates and helped Otea to tied hers. Then we made our way onto the ice. JJ was first to go on, stepping on, having a bit of s tumble but then keeping his balance. Next was Otea, she carefully put one foot down to nearly stumble backwards, I don't think she expected it to be so slippy. JJ stood in front of her, his arms wide open, encouraging her to skate towards him and she did. A few stumbles but she did it and we applauded her. Next was me to step onto the ice. I was a s scared as ever and JJ knew that. He took Otea to the sides and she made her way around sometimes holding onto the sides, other times skating on her own. JJ on the other hand was trying to convince me to come away from the sides.

"JJ I'm scared"

"Aw C'mon, do this for me?"

"But JJ..."

"No buts...If you do this for me I'll give you a really big surprise"

"Fine..." I said, admitting defeat.

He took my hand carefully, holding it tightly as my hands left the side of the rail. He held my hand so tightly and never let me go, making sure I was safe. he put his hands around my waist to be sure I wouldn't fall.

"You're gonna be ok"

I looked at him and smiled. He took my hand and led me aroudn the rink, skating without the barriers was amazing. He didn't let go of me and we didn't fall. Then Otea came to join us and we skated around like a family of three. What a way to spend out last night in Disney. When we had finished on the ice, we returned our skates. JJ pulled me in and kissed me.

"What was that for?"  I asked

"Suprise" He whispered.

I smiled at him and went to kiss him again. Otea had gone to the toilets on her own because she wanted to be a big girl so we stood waiting for her. When we kissed we heard someone shout.

"Urgh what the hell are you kissing her for?"

I spun around to see a girl with long blonde hair, glaring at us both. As she walked over to JJ she gave me the most dirty look.
