Goodbye Doesn't Mean Forgetting: Part 26

Start from the beginning

"You ready?" He asked, putting a blindfold around my eyes.

"What are you doing?!?"

"Blindfolding you! If I don't, your surprise will be ruined"

It was horrible not being able to see. JJ also allowed me to walk into a tree, which wasn't very pleasent.  As we walked and walked, it got scarier and scarier. That was until I heard the sound of a gate opening and the sound of a door slamming behind me. Carefully, JJ removed my blindfold. I opened my eyes and that was when I saw it. It was our old house, where JJ and I met when George met the boys for the first time.

"JJ, why are we in my old house?"

"Correction...our new house"

"Wait...what?"

"This is ours Meg..." He said, waving the keys in my face.

I jumped on him wrapping my legs around his waist as he wrapped his arms around me. I gave him a peck on the lips and we went to look around. We lay on the bed laughing and giggling about the parties we would have. We would be moving into the house in two days. I couldn't wait.

As we walked back into the house, hand in hand I was greeted by a hug. A smell I recognised surrounded me. As she pulled away, my mum gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"Mum...Mum what are you doing here?"

"Spending Christmas with my girl, her boyfriend and my boyfriend"

"You're boyfriend? What?"

"Luke" My mum shouted.

That was when my dad walked out, put his arms around my mum and gave her a light kiss.

"Wait, are...are you guys back together?" JJ asked.

My parents nodded in excitement. I could feel the smile beaming on my face. I ran, putting my arms around their neck and hugging them both. I don't think this Christmas could get any better.

"Dinner's Ready!" Shouted JJ's mum from the kitchen.

We all walked in, talking and laughing. We talked about our new house and what we would do to it when we moved it, how excited we were to go to Disney and how much of an amazing Christmas we had.  After dinner, which was lovely, we all settled down in the living room. We played some of Otea's games with her and had such a lovely family day. As we said goodnight to my parents and headed off to bed ready for a day of packing tomorrow. I smiled as my head touched the pillow. I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas.

When I woke up the next morning, JJ had already started to pack some of our stuff. I got up, took a quick shower, put my tracksuit on, tied my hair up and began to help JJ pack some stuff into the boxes. That was when I found a little song JJ wrote when he was a little Jockey.

"Hmmm what's this then"

"Oh my god no!"

"Ride little pony, ride away" I started to sing, out of tune, laughing.

"Give me that" he said, snatching it off me as I fell onto the floor laughing. He was such a talented song writer.

The day finally came when we were moving out. We left the house, saying goodbye to JJ's family. I gave them all the biggest hug and thanked them for taking me in and putting up with me for so long, seeing as I had a bad situation with my mum's ex boyfriend. We drove the car around to the house, pulled up at the drive way and unloaded the boxes out of the car into the house. Within 4 hours, everything was in place. There was a knock at the door.

"Hey bro! What's up"

I heard various footsteps in the hallway. I stood up as the living room door opened and was greeted with a hug from Ella, Lucy, Olly, Jaymi, Josh and George. We sat in in the house. It was a form of house warming with our best friends. We had such a laugh, jamming out on the guitar. We even had a go at Just Dance 4 and there was some serious competition between Jaymi and I, but of course, I beat him. When our friends had left, JJ and I settled into bed, about to spend our first night in our first house together. He put is arm around me and kissed my forehead.

"I've always dreamed of this you know"

"Really?"

"Cuddled up in my own house, in my bed with the most gorgeous girl in the world"

"I love you JJ"

"I love you more!"

"I doubt that"

"Oh you wanna bet?" He said as he tickled me. I wriggled and admitted defeat. I put my head on his shoulder and shut my eyes. I wonder what life was going to bring for us now. Disney was coming up in a few days too. I'd better start packing.
