I leave him on read again, rolling my eyes at his messages. It's possible he wrote his number wrong and I'm texting someone different? Or it's what I'm hoping right now.

Read

Once again I leave him on read, groaning. I was hoping he'd text me an update about his work, but here we are. I've finished up my part by now, yet his still needs some work, or should I say his needs to be started. Should I try and ask him to meet up? I don't want to see him but it's what I need to do to pass this class. I pick up my phone and see he's messaged me again.

Now now, don't be rude.

I sigh as I watch him type and stop again only to continue.

I'll see you tomorrow anyways.

I groan knowing he's right, but it's due tomorrow so I can't wait. Should I answer back in the same manner or..? Maybe it'll get his attention and this is urgent.

Seems like it didn't take him long to agree, but what's with that winky face. I pack up my things and head over early, the empty dorm room doesn't help. Even if it is still quiet in the library there's people. I sit down at an empty table, laying out my things. By the time the hour passes I look up and around, he's not here yet. As I'm about to grab my phone I see him. He looks around and I roll my eyes. His eyes land on some blonde, he hurries to them. I guess I should've waved him over. I regret saying yes to working with him. I watch as he flirts, the other obviously into it.

It isn't until I realize he's planning to leave I go up to him. "Hey hey.. remember me?" He looks over to me and the apologetically at the blond. "Your partner." The other's eyes widen, before turning away in anger.

"Now what was that for? I was finally getting somewhere with-" I put a finger to his lips to shush him, he gently pushes my hand down by the wrist.

"You haven't started your part of the project, I'd appreciate it if you'd at least try and do something. I regret choosing you as my partner, you know I could replace you." His eyes widen and he starts to stutter.

"Please..! I'll start now." He looks behind me, most likely seeing my things. "You've already set up, I'll get started." He strides over, opening his own computer that was in his bag. I rest my chin on my head, my other hand tapping at the table as I look to him. He grows increasingly uncomfortable, but it's not like what I'm studying for is all that important. Watching him writhe from my gaze is all too amusing. What happened to the confidence from just a few moments ago? Now unable to sit comfortably or even type well, he presses the backspace one too many times. "Will you.. stop that." I shrug looking back down to my computer. After a few minutes I glance up at him, to find him glance up at me. He struggles to maintain the eye contact, making me smile slyly. "Please stop, I'm working now ok." His voice comes out a little strained, so I decide to leave him be. I look to my own computer, studying up for an upcoming test. My eyes start to droop, having not slept last night. As my head slips off my hand I wake up for the motion. Looking up, I see Kaeya too focused to notice. I rub my eyes, getting up.
