Goodbye Doesn't Mean Forgetting: Part 22

"Nicole, I need to get her somewhere where the boys won't be able to see her but where it will be easy for her to get backstage, can you help me?"

"Leave it to me honey, you go get ready, Meg follow me"

I followed Nicole down many paths, turning many corners. As we walked she talked to me about the relationship I had with JJ. She was lovely.

"So does he know you're here?"

"Nope, I'm surprising him, that's why I kinda got dressed up tonight"

"Well you look stunning honey"

Suddenly, the view in the arena was packed full of people. I stood at the side of the exit of the stage and immediately Olly Saw me. He pushed his way through the crowd, coming and hugging me tightly.

"Babe you look gorgeous..hey Nicole!"

"Hey honey, can you stay here with her?"

"Yeah sure, I know about the little surprise, Ella told me"

We both started to laugh. Then it was showtime. Like every Saturday night, Dermot came on and introduced the judges and then act by act performed. Ella was first up and she sounded amazing, like every week, she got incredible feedback. As she walked off stage, she crept over to me.

"How was it?" she asked.

"Amazing Ella! You're voice is perfect!"

"George loves that song, he was so happy I was singing it"

"Well you did it justice"

"Thankyou" she said smiling.

"When are the boys on?"

"It's Rylan, Jahmene and then the boys"

I smiled, and then she was dragged off by security because some fans spotted her. We got up and danced to Rylan and waved our hand in the air to Jahmene. Then came the moment I'd been waiting for.

The VT started to play and I saw the boys sat in order, talking about the week they'd had. They had been to the James Bond premiere and seeing JJ in a suit really really made me love him. If there was one thing, by god did that boy look good in a suit.

"So this week the song we've chosen is Love Story" said George in a cute voice.

My stomach started to churn and I felt butterflies. I wanted to cry.

"It was JJ's Idea, that song's very close to him" Jaymi added.

I knew why JJ had picked that song. That song was really big when I left JJ and it had remained one of my favorite songs ever since. I looked at my phone that had just lit up.

"Down the camera, I'm singing this song to you, I love you"

I smiled, a text from JJ but he didn't know he would be singing to me face to face.

"UNION J" the man announced, the large doors opened and the boys stood. George with his guitar playing along to the backing track. Josh started to sing

"We were both young when I first saw you...."

That was when the tears started and through the tears in my eyes, I still sang every word of the song. I saw JJ never took his eyes off the camera. When they had finished they got a standing ovation from the judges. I knew this week was love week but I wasn't expecting the boys to sing that song. No one understands how much tonight actually meant to me. The comments they received from the Judges were amazing, they told them that they were the next big boyband and the smiles on the boys faces made my smile grow bigger. They jumped off stage, as happy as ever. Now I had to make my move. As they ran down the steps they huddled backstage. JJ had his back to me but Jaymi saw me and smiled.
