Chapter 18

Onyx's POV
"I broke my family. He left because of me."

"Nyx don't say that. That can't be the actual reason. I don't think he's being truthful. If anyone's at fault here it's me. I let him in."

I shook my head.

"It's not."

I spent the rest of the day in bed. One morning I woke up with Marionette sitting on me.

"Hey princess. Where's Prim?"

"Over here."

I sat up and saw Primrose walking towards me. She put her phone up.

"What are you doing?"

"Recoding you. Mari show him your shirt."

She stood up straight and held out the bottom of her shirt.

"Huh? "Best big sister ever!"?"

Then it hit me.

"Holy shit! Please don't tell me you're joking!"

"I'm not. I went to the doctor and I got tested after school. On my way back I grabbed a shirt for MJ. I even have a bump."

She put her phone down then rolled up the bottom of her shirt. In that moment all my depression went away. I started hugging Marionette. For the first time in a while, happy tears streamed down my face.

"I love you both so fucking much."

Primrose started running her fingers through my hair. I sniffled then looked up.

"How far along?"

"Believe it or not but, 12 weeks. I haven't felt anything yet."

"What made you start thinking you're pregnant?"

"During school today. I called my doctor during lunch. I know you've been feeling down lately so, I thought this would make you feel better."

"You were right. Thank you. I love you."

She kissed me.

"I love you too. So are you a little less depressed now?"

I smiled as I nodded.

"You mean it?"

"Yeah. Yeah I do."

She smiled.

"Good. Seeing you upset, absolutely kills me."

"I'm the same way with you. I just want you to be happy. I still feel bad I was so rude to you."

"My love how many times must I tell you this?"

She walked to the other side of our bed and sat down next to me.

"Nyx I forgave you for all of that."

"You helped changed me."

She smiled.

"I know. I'm so proud of myself for that. MJ was the start. Now, now there's gonna be another person that's gonna help change you. Oh! Baby did you do any homework yet?"

"I didn't have any. Did you do any schoolwork?"

"Uh no? I just woke up."

"You just woke up?"

"Yeah."

"Onyx it's almost 3 in the afternoon. You just woke up?"

"Yes?"

"Mari is this true?"

She shook her head .

"He played with me a lot!"

Marionette yawned.

"Did you nap today?"

She shook her head.

"Primrose stood up.

"I think it's time for a nap then. Nyx started doing schoolwork."

"Yes mother."

They walked away and I grabbed what I needed. I turned on my computer then started working. Primrose walked back into our room 15 minutes later.

"She asleep?"

"Yep. I'm gonna to shower."

She kissed the top of my head.

"Don't follow me. Do your school shit."

                            Primrose's POV
After my shower, I walked back into my room. I saw Onyx putting away his computer.

"Done?"

"For now."

His phone started ringing. He picked it up and brought to his ear. His eyes widened. He opened his mouth but nothing came out.

"Baby? What's wrong?"

All he did was hand me his phone. I took it out of his hand. I put it up to my ear and all I heard was crying.

                  *Phone Call with Hospital*
"Hello? Sir? Are you still there?"

"Hi this is, his girlfriend. Who is this?"

"This is the hospital. Something happened to Tyla Jericho. I assume you know her."

"Yeah. I do. That's his sister. What happened? Why does he look terrified?"

"There's been an incident involving her. Do you know a Patrick Weathers?"

"Yeah. That's Tyla's boyfriend."

"She's in surgery now. How fast can you get here?"

"Oh god. Um. Maybe 11 minutes? Was there a little boy there?"

"Yes. He's okay. He's at his aunt's. Tyla requested we call you."

"Is she okay?"

"It's better if you hear it from the cops or from her. You know she's pregnant right?"

"Yeah."
                            *End of Phone Call*
I threw the phone onto the bed and started hugging Onyx. He started crying.

"It's okay. It's gonna be okay."

He started shaking.

"Go hug MJ."

"I don't want to wake her up."

"Onyx do it."
